Boxer FS-2 Electric Conversion

Last one, does this one battery look like it will be good. I am sorry, just trying to keep the price down.

No the controller puts out 60amp and the bms will only do 20amp, I bet those packs go bad in no time too where as the Lipo will give you years of riding you treat them decent.

Ok, i am sorry for all of these questions i am just trying to keep within my budget. If i ran 2 of these batteries, do you think that will be a good setup?

Now another question, which is the correct and safest way to connect two of these batteries together?

5ah will get you around 8 miles say, to charge them I would get a parralel charge board and rc 6s charger then and a low voltage buzzer for the balance leads when In use bare minimum.

Ok, excellent.

I am thinking about this setup.

8 miles is more than enough, this is mostly to mess around in my backyard and on my block. So you think this is a good setup?

Charge in around 1hour there abouts looks like you have the bits sorted.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me figure all of this stuff out. I will be sure to post a ton of pictures of the install as everything starts arriving. I am hoping that the install goes as planned and i get this thing going! Talk soon.

Best of luck with the build nice basis to learn how it all works and with the Lipo you will have good power very little sag compared to a pack like above, to get 60 amp from a 18650 pack you need about 3- 4 high discharge cells depending on type but you end up around 10ah then with alot more added cost mind.

I got a kuberg freerider second hand a couple months ago and that has sony vtc5 cells 10 in parallel for 200amps and 13s for 54.6v max plus the bms and I will say it's lovely to just plug it in no fafing and charge it up for 20 miles or so of fun.

But I started out with laptop cells about 7 or so years ago now and then moved to Lipo for the ease of discharge levels but don't push them to hard when flat that's when they begin to warm so 4ah used and get it on the charger don't over discharge them, with time you will get used to your rig and you can give advice and things you have discovered.

Originally I done a electrical engineer course in college 3 years for house and commercial had the basics of motors house wiring and regulations health and safety etc but I've always tuned what I've had be it a car or then when I learnt that's damn expensive when the engine bites the dust so I started messing with scooters, but from like 7 years I've stripped stuff to learn it love a bit of mechanical engineering learnt so much that my paper credentials don't give credit to.

So after a month and 3 attempts it looks like i am back to the drawing board looking for another hub motor. The seller has tried to ship it to me but will not pass customs for some odd reason. The search continues.
