Hi All. This is regarding a controller for an escooter but there is no escooter Technical section. I guess the controllers are the same.
I have replace the controller and thumb throttle/display but could not find an identical one so went for another. the original had a brake light cable but the new one does not. I did not spot this when I ordered it.
The new one has a brake send cable which disconnects the motor when the brake leaver is pulled, standard I guess. I do not have any where to take a voltage from to put the brake light on when the brake lever is operated.
the brake sense cable has about 4.7vdc across it 2 cables and the switch is open until a brake lever is pulled. it there any way I can use this cable via a relay maybe to send the battery voltage (36v) to the brake light? Or any other way to make a brake light signal?
