The bike shop stripped a spoke on my HBS-48V 1000W Golden Motor wheel while trying to dish the wheel over to the center of the frame.

What size and Where can I find a replacement?

Any help is GREAATLY appreciated.

More info:

It's a standard 26" wheel that I suppose came with the kit. Also, the bike shop said the length is about 163mm and about 2.5-2.8mm dia. I'll need a nipple too.

Thanks again,
Leo

I'm surprised that a bike shop couldn't get the part for you (especially if they did the damage, they ought to be the ones doing the work to fix it).

That said, there are a few posts (I think in the for sale section and possibly in resources) for those members that have and/or can get such spokes.

ebikes.ca might also have them.

Yeah, they said the companies they order from don't have any that short.....it's a small bike shop.

FYI,

I ordered these and they worked great! http://electricrider.com/crystalyte/x-spoke26p.htm

Thanks,
Leo

A good wheel builder will have the ability to cut and thread a custom spoke. Holmes Hobby comes to mind immediately of course. We have a bike shop in my town that cuts spokes.
