Brushless dual 6kw ALIEN Power system - electric longboard

Hey Richard where did you get the small remote we can see in the video ?
Cant wait to receive your kit :)

hey beetbocks is there any chance you'll offer (or can you make) a 'blank' drive hub adapter? something with a 40mm-ish flange and space for 3 or 4 m5 bolts to be tapped would be great, so that sizes other than 30t could be used?

It's in the prototype stage already...should be available after some testing in few weeks..
The other part of the kit will be the same and there will be a selection of motor brackets available... That's the plan anyway !! So motors and wheels can be any size!!!

Just and update on the longboard-
Im in the process of making a mold for a carbon fiber battery box- nice and light and super strong-

Also my new stock of kits has arrive!! - so get your orders in now!! they've done an awesome job at the CNC shop- really nice finish to them.. I'm going to get a few kits anodized in black ..so please let me know if your interested in that..
Black trucks, black kit,- I see a new project on the horizon!!!........

Hallo !

Firts excuse for my english language ! So i'm new with eskate and i just received few days ago the kit from Richard. This is awesome ! and super light. Now i wait for electronics + battery.

I will certainly build just with one motor for the first test... i ride a lot skate but 15 years ago !
Hope to see other build with holey trucks and richard kit.

Thanks and bests regards

wow, Iroise, that board looks awsome !! I think it drives very fine with that motor mount from Richard. Do you mount the 3KW motor 6374? Be careful !! It's much power and high speed possible so you can fly if you want :D

Nice box beetbox :) I posted your AlienPowerSystem on our elektro-skateboard forum in germany and some people have orderd your motormount kit. That's the perfect start to build an e-skate in my opinion. perhaps nobody want to buy the upcoming boosted board ......

iv posted a video of my board in action test drive, only one more in operation, need to start mounting and shaping a box for the batteries and esc.

very nice build!!! I cant wait to see what you come up with in the future.
I was wondering: if I hit cruising speed and let go of the throttle, would the electromagnetic field created by the motor slow me down? Aside from friction in the motor, gears and belt, would the setup have an affect on the cruising speed of the board at all?
I've seen thing like the Kelly controllers that have regen breaking and regen throttle release features...I am also curious to know if the electricity produced by the spinning motor while cruising, could possibly mess up a speed controller( without regen capabilities such as a red brick).

I know this might be obvious to some of you veterans but I'm still new to this and I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I start my build. Hope fully I get it done during the summer.
thanks and best,
Tim

the board will free wheel very nicely!! there is a very slight drag (hardly noticeable above 10mph) and when free wheeling -yes the batteries are regen charging on our controllers.

my motors where a bit smaller and the holes did not line up just right so i had to drill some new holes, and because my motors where smaller i could then angel the mounts a little bit up so know im only using 1/4 inch risers instead of 1/2. the loaded board im using is nice and smith when ride with the abec 11 wheels, big but it was what i was going for.

I'm using the same motor and the same kit. Could you post a picture of your pulley adapter? Where did you find the adapter to fix the 8mm axis in the 10mm pulley?
I'm also curious about your motor controller, Which one did you finally use?

You maybe right.. I was just using a iPhone GPS when I was on the flat at half throttle and it got up to 42mph.
So I was just estimating what my mate uphill on full throttle was..
I need to get a speed gun!! I think I know a man with one ..:)

Hi
I have a question. Does alien drive system(drive pulley) fit on holey trucks with 90mm ABEC 11 flywheels?

and another question, where would you buy Holey trucks online in US and how much do they go for usually?
It's a little hard to find shops selling Holey trucks

Yes the drive hub will fit the 90mm flywheel in fact it will fit all flywheels , the only issue then is the correct gearing . I am current working on a universal hub that allows the fitment if different pulley wheels.
As to buying holeys in the US .. I'm not sure but I've sold quite a few kits the the US so they must have got hold of them
Maybe members could answer this? They are about £35 a pair over here and can be bought on EBay ..

Hey mate I didn't use an adaptor, I purchased my own motor pully with 8mm bore, I did post a link to this pully a few pages back!
I can pull up the link, but the the pully is from Australia.
