I read a post that TWO 24V 20Ah batteries is a choice way to go because you are street legal and have plenty of power.

I live in Los Angeles near the beach, easy to hang on the flat stuff or venture to gradual/steep hills if you want them.

I estimate that I could buy about 960 Wh of Lithium from Ping for $600, that's plenty of juice

If you were going to spend $600 on primo battery in today's market, what would you buy? thanks.

48v 30 ah ping, but it would cost more than $600.

I think you suggested the two 24V 20Ah batteries in a prior thread. So you have a change of heart? How do you deal w/mounting that single battery?

I would wait till January (or FEB) 2009 and buy the new 14 AH Lifebatts which is suppose to sell for just over $700, includes 3 yr warranty, new BMS, and a nice compact hard case cover.

Prices are crashing down because of many reasons, and we are finally going to get a break on the price of quality LIFEPO4's.

This is based entirely on speculation and a statement on endless Sphere a month ago from a reliable source.

Wait till the new year and ask for quotes then.

From what I have heard the new lifebatts are not going to be ready to the general public in jan or feb. I have heard that they are making a special production for the people using their batts in the Isle Of Mann and that is their main push right now. But I heard those weren't even coming out for the IOM racers until about that time. I'm sure that the rest should be along shortly after that, but from what I have heard, I wouldn't be holding my breath for any of those first batch of cells.
