Great news. Call the DEA and get yourself new neighbors. Problem solved, wrap it up boys.

Okay, I think I figured it out. That's "ringing a bell" noise I was talking about earlier, thinking they were just being freaking creepy... Yep, I think I have it wrong. They likely have a lab of some sorts out there (Maybe a portable lab) and that noise is actually the sound of a glass wand being stirred in a flask or some such. Well, something's being stirred or some such. The reason why I've heard them each night I've walked outside is probably because... they work at night. Too risky to work during the day. And, that mysterious trail in the woods that I thought was possibly one of the ATV trails? It's probably a drug trail. . . .'

Now I need to verify if this idea of a "drug trail" is actually a thing. Maybe it's not and I'm just letting my imagination get to me. Maybe they are just simply watching me at night, every night, which is kind of creepy.

Nope, can't find mention of a "drug trail" on google. I guess it's my imagination. . . A windowshade so they don't know where to shoot if they decide to do so (If they don't know where to shoot, maybe they won't!) and I need to attach a flashlight to my rifle to make it effective for night use.

Go outside at night, with NO lights of any kind. Wait 5 minutes and carefully scan the area. Do NOT fix a view on a spot. IT will eventually "move". Take one slow step, stop and LISTEN. Old VietNam tricks so I came back home outside a body bag. Stealth is your friend. Get used to the dark, it's a wonderful time of the day.
I found plenty when I searched drug trail. I found mention of doctors referring to a drug trail through their patients. Not sure I could explain it.

But I'm picturing the reality show from all this. Maybe something like 'Drug Trail and afraid.' Or 'Texas Drug Trail family.' Ultimately there could be 'Celebrity Drug Trail.' They eliminate one each week by saying "Danny Bonaduce, (Or whomever) YOU'RE O.D.ed!"

The thing is, is that I'm pretty sure the DEA already knows about these people. That undercover agent who appeared to be chasing someone who happened to live on this road (that I was blocking and he hollered "I need you to move!") was probably DEA. These people operate as a family and clearly they get their illegal relatives here, so it's like whack-a-mole, you whack one mole, another illegal mole pops up, lol.

Yep, so I need to regularly start checking out my vehicles/RV for car bombs. Another one of mexico's fine exports, lol. [I get the inclination these guys would probably just walk upto you and pop you. This guy with a gun was fairly trigger happy last night and I could tell he walking around the neighborhood/forest with his gun. I think he came home from work and just started shooting. A would-be assassin would likely not give warning.]

It is notable when I started going on my walks on my block, they started "watching me" more. Burly man with a machete and the matron walking their 2 aggressive dogs. And it looked specifically like they were checking me out on that walk.

Anyway, cleaned out the van, put unimportant stuff in he back, found the bits, realized I needed a long bit anyways, got one, completed the tornado shelter's protective structure (It needs some reinforcement.) and got the rest of the driveway's top soil removed and it's 99% ready for the clay delivery. Also got my sights zero'd (Eh, close enough for now.).

And, it seems like this neighborhood comes alive at 6:20 a.m.; hollering, cars zooming down the way, no doubt trying to beat 7:30 a.m. rush hour traffic among the more inner city workers.

Anyway, I've noticed that Texas license plates don't have Year/Date tabs. That's interesting. So I could probably just remove my tabs when they expire and no one would really notice. (Assuming the plate numbers don't get keyed in, which hopefully shouldn't happen in the near future. Get my vehicle on my property, no more cop visits. And I'm like the epitome of not getting stopped by a cop. Strictly follow road rules, more often than not, going 5 under the speed limit, lol. A greater concern is illegal alien checkpoints which doesn't seem to be a thing around Houston like it is near El Paso. Which is surprising, I have a feeling they'd catch a LOT of illegals here.)

You will then have to have a Texas inspection sticker on the window, the van will have to be registered to get the sticker, etc. They test your horn, blinkers, I'm not sure what all but it's a safety inspection. Then there's smog. You're supposed to have that done within 30 days of moving to Texas.

The cops drive around looking for those stickers more than the plates.

https://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/vi/

Yeah, I've found that's my problem. I haven't "moved" to Texas yet, lol. It's funny what you find you can't do without an actual residential address that's not already on an official government issued ID. Basically, anything that involves the government or the government has thumbed its nose in (Banking, guns, etc.)

Once I get my driveway in, I should be able to get a residential address. Then get a driver's license with a matching residential address. Then the rest becomes possible once the government knows where you live just in case it ever needs to hunt you down, lol.

This morning. Woo, this morning. The symptoms were getting pretty severe. A little birdie noticeably calmed my nerves, but the symptoms persisted. Had some wine because I swear I've herad some biblical figure suggest "Have some wine. It'll cure what ails you"(Maybe not, can't find the verse). Seemed to become less noticeable. My left hand seems to be losing some sensation all throughout today. Getting away from the property seemed to make it a little better, though I'm not sure if it's because of "the area" or because I had some pumpkin seeds.

Yeah, it'd probably be nicer if I didn't imagine my neighbors being mexican mafiosos. While I'd hope they'd be rational and not do something stupid, I do know I'm not dealing with an elected official here and despots of small groups are known to do stupid things, so the risks seem relatively high just being on the street right next to my property. If I was on my property, with it fenced in, I'd still feel a little threatened, but at least I'd have the weaponry and deterrence to make me feel a little more secure.

Just walked for 8 laps, 1 mile total. Noticeable improvement in mood at the .75 mile mark. Suspect that's a minimal threshold of some sort since it seemed like I noticeable this phenomenon other times. So, I'm making the normal minimum 8 laps for the walks. Well, at least 2 of those a day.

Anyway, I noticed how happy I felt killing all those mosquito larva, and I think it had more to do with "playing in the water" than "killing mosquito larva". Then I thought to the super healthy islanders, and I thought maybe that was one of their secrets (In addition to coconuts): 24/7 access to water. So, they're banging it on the enviro-psychological front, and the diet front. All these "Really healthy" cultures seem to have some kind of easy access to a body of water, whether that be the grecian islands in the mediterranean or the okinawa in the pacific or the Kuna on the San Buispo islands off of Panama. Also notable, waterfront homes are the most expensive homes ever. So, I think daily exposure to bodies of water has a significant affect on psychological health, and thus, health.

So, I'm thinking about expanding the pond or getting a swimming pool in.

Anyway, I'm supposed to be arranging a red clay delivery for tomorrow morning, but I need to check the weather to make sure that's a good idea.

Maybe I'll shoot for Mar 12. I'd rather have more than a day to get the driveway ready for the rain, lol. (I need to get bullrock or similar to protect the area of the driveway around the culvert from erosion. I wonder if I need to protect the entire length of the driveway from erosion? Or just the area around the culvert?)

Anyway...

The seeming differenc contributors to health (enviropsychomental, diet) does make me wonder...

Am I underestimating cortisol in the disease processes?

Because it seems there's two primary paths to cortisol...

bacteria->immune->cortisol
immediate physical and social environment->state of mind->cortisol

And, it seems like the bottom factor is involved somehow in many health issues. And, I'm not exactly sure how, beyond any immediate vasoconstrictive affects. It'd be curious to know. I suppose if the affect of cortisol is to "control the immune response" (Suppress it), then it'd seem like higher levels of cortisol would lead to a suppressed immune system which may amplify the harmful/deadly affects of bacteria. It also may have other non-bacteria related health affects but I'm not sure what.

let's expand that...

diet->bacteria->immune->cortisol->plaque deposits, increased blood sugar and blood pressure
immediate physical and social environment->state of mind->cortisol->immune system suppressant->bacteria harm amplifier (Increased plaque deposits likely)

It looks like the worst possible combination would be to be depressed and have a bacteria loving diet. And my intuition into this seems to agree... based on patients I've known of...

Does make me wonder if carb binging eating patterns is typical of depression... if carbs are said to "calm you down", then it seems like there's probably an association.

In other words, "I'm stressed, pass me the twinkies!", lol.

Aha... does seem to be an association...

http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/eating-disorders/binge-eating-disorder/features/binge-eating-depression#1

About half of the people who binge eat have a mood disorder such as depression.
Some people binge in an attempt to numb sad, hopeless feelings.
Many of those who binge eat and aren't currently depressed have a history of depression.

That singer who recently died... he got quite plump right before his death... suggesting he binge ate carbs quite a bit... to mollify the sadness... but it was in actuality the worst dietary pattern to have, especially in conjunction with cortisol boosting depression... which likely caused/amplified the fatty liver and heart disease the senior coroner recently diagnosed...

It is curious to know if you had depression, yet didn't have a carb binging dietary pattern, if the risk for heart disease would still be significant. I'm suspecting it might not be, based on the lack of association between pessimism and adverse health outcomes after controlling for BMI.

And the association between salt intake and bacteria might also work in that way...

low salt -> promotes increased carb consumption -> lower salinity and increased carbs causes increased bacteria -> more arthersclerosis

Well here's another article that explains fatty liver disease..

http://www.today.com/health/what-fatty-liver-disease-killed-george-michael-t108976

What is a fatty liver?

As alcohol floods the system, the liver starts to form abnormal deposits of fat. This causes inflammation and scarring; eventually the healthy liver tissue is replaced with scar tissue. That’s when your liver stops working and you find yourself on a transplant list.

But alcohol isn't the only factor — there are more common habits that may lead to the same disease.

Another type of liver disease is emerging, called Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, or NAFLD. It's caused by being overweight or obese and consumption of too much sugar and processed carbohydrates,

So excess alchohol and excess sugar and carb consumption causes it... well... that just simply highlights the key role bacteria plays with what we know of bacteria's metabolism. It loves excess alcohol and excess carb consumption.

They also mention...

along with a sedentary lifestyle and components associated with metabolic syndrome.

It's that sedentary lifestyle that I'm trying to fully understand. It's not immediately obvious how a sedentary lifestyle would affect the immune system or bacteria. If it suppresses the immune system, like depression, that'd aid bacteria amplifying its harmful affect. I guess another way to frame that into a question: Does exercise enhance the immune system? If so, a lack of exercise would not enhance the immune system, boosting the harmful affect of bacteria relative to the stronger immune system of the exercising person. Let's see what we can find in this vein...

Multiple studies seem to suggest this though the abstracts don't quantify it through measures like WBC and probably other ones.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12892009

Moderate exercise seems to have a beneficial effect on the immune function, which could protect against upper respiratory tract infections. Exercise has effects on both the humoral and the cellular immune system. Doping products, except glucocorticoids, only have modest effects on the immune system, although erythropoietin may, in rare cases, cause severe side-effects. Glutamine and vitamin C could, hypothetically, prevent the negative effects of strenuous exercise on the immune function, but further studies are needed to demonstrate and explain these effects.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17826186

Exercise has a variable effect on the immune system. The underlying reasons for this variability are multifactorial and include infectious, neuroedocrine, and metabolic factors, with nutritional status of the athlete and the training load playing a role. Environmental factors such as living quarters, travel requirements, and the type of sport (team versus individual) also contribute to infectious risk. Regarding the direct effect of exercise on the immune system, moderate exercise seems to exert a protective effect, whereas repeated bouts of strenuous exercise can result in immune dysfunction. Understanding the relationship between exercise and infectious disease has important potential implications for public health and for clinicians caring for athletes and athletic teams.

This particular paper may partially explain Phelps condition. Perhaps he had a combination of low energy intake during his "carb free days" resulting in vascular atrophy, subsequent intake of cereal grains (Wheat especially), combined with repeated bouts of strenuous exercise (Boosting cortisol levels -> Suppressing immune system). His type of training did seem to be exactly this kind of exercise...

It is interesting they mention vitamin C's protective affect on the immune system from the harmful affects of strenuous actifvity, because fresh fruits and veggies are rich in Vitamin C, especially the tropical and citrus fruits (And vegetables).

As to glutamine... what contains this substance?

Looks like meat, dairy, poultry, seafood, spinach and other vegetable greens and nuts.

The food high in both vitamin C and glutamine appears to be spinach and other vegetable greens. Yes, I always knew spinach was nature's multivitamin, chimps have a diet of 25-50% leaves.
----------

Oh, and the moat that was being used as a mosquito's little breeding grounds (Tons of larva in it), I poisoned it with orange soap which all of them... yeah, now I've found like 4 different dead mosquitos in it. Lol, what? Do the mosquitos land on the water and instantly die? Well, cool, I think I've found a good way to help control the mosquito population, lol. Leave out standing pools of water everywhere poisoned with orange soap, lol. (I assume the mosquitos were drinking the water)

Okay, seems like we can more fully understand the process of arthersclerosis from the viewpoint of the immune system and bacteria. Here are the known or "highly suspected" causal paths.

(I'm going to put all the masterlists on the front page.)

MASTER LIST OF BACTERIA/IMMUNESYSTEM CAUSAL PATHS and their role in various disease processes

Diet (Binge drinking or binge carb consumption, wheat consumption; binge eating on carbs/alchohol explodes bacteria populations, wheat increases the epthilial intestinal junction gap to allow easy entry of bacteria)->bacteria->immune system->cortisol->plaque,increased blood sugar and increased blood pressure

Low energy intake (carbs, fat) -> cortisol -> immune system suppressant -> increased bacterial harm

(Also causes vascular atrophy over the longterm. It appears insufficient mineral/vitamin intake and associated deficits might have a similar affect, since the "building blocks", as well as energy, is necessary for vessel/organ repair/maintenance.)

phsyical and social environs -> negative state of mind (Anger, anxiety, depression, etc.) -> cortisol (or its counteractant, oxytocin, the "bonding neurochemical") -> immune system suppressant -> bacteria harm multiplier (plaque, likely), higher blood sugar and pressure

Sedentary lifestyle -> immune system suppressor (relative to the immune system boost from regular moderate exercise) -> bacteria harm multiplier (plaque)

[Also, lack of exercise results in relative "Vascular atrophy", reducing arterial diameter, increasing the likehood of clot formation. That is, this is relative to the increase in arterial diameter with exercise.]

Repeated strenuous activity -> immune system suppressor -> Bacteria harm multiplier (Purported protection from vitamin C and glutamine consumption, both contained in spinach and other vegetable greens. Eat nuts with a vitamin C containing food, like fresh fruits and vegetables, and this also applies to other protein sources like meat, poultry, seafood, etc. Tropical and citrus fruits are especially high in Vitamin C.)

Toxic air quality (Not exactly sure which toxins apply here... likely hydrocarbon emissions...and possible other toxic fine particulates] -> immune system suppressant -> bacteria harm multiplier

Pesticides might also suppress the immune system... would have to look...

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15019249

In this study, we exposed two frog species, Xenopus laevis and Rana pipiens, for a short period of time to a mixture of pesticides (atrazine, metribuzine, endosulfan, lindane, aldicarb and dieldrin) representative in terms of composition and concentrations to what it is found in the environment of the southwest region of the province of Quebec. The pesticides were known to be present in surface water of many tributaries of the St. Lawrence River (Quebec, Canada). Our results demonstrate that the mixture of pesticides could alter the cellularity and phagocytic activity of X. laevis and the lymphocyte proliferation of R. pipiens. Taken together, these results indicate that agricultural pesticides can alter some aspects of the immune response in frogs and could contribute to their global decline by rendering them more susceptible to certain infections.

So, it seems pretty likely that

Pesticides -> immune system suppressant -> bacteria harm multiplier

Sun exposure -> Boosts immune system -> Bacteria harm reducer so it follows..

Lack of sun exposure -> immune system reducer -> Bacteria harm multiplier

(It is unknown if vitamin D consumption can compensate... seeing that the neolithic european diet in non-coastal areas consisted of mushrooms which are high in Vitamin D, it seems possible. But, then again, even sun exposure at the 45 parallel has some effect at least during the summer months, where the sun angle averages around 55-60 degrees (90-25 = 65 degrees at peak of summer.)

Yep, that's it, I'm going completely organic. And I need to extract myself from my toxic working environment, yep, get a canine friend, yep, exercise... yep, yep, lol. (This morning, felt like I was abruptly pulled from my slumber, with a feeling of nausea, woke up about 20 minutes earlier than normal. Checked my ECG, looked mostly OK, but it did seem like I saw possible precursors to hyperacute T waves. It probably would've been more telling if I did a measurement yesterday morning, when the symptoms were more severe and persisting. I'm not really sure why it seems to hit after the second sleep cycle. first sleep cycle is 4 hours long, awake for 1-2 hours, second sleep cycle is usually 2 hours long.)

And, if you're curious what hyperacute T waves mean (Tall T waves, regardless of the R wave, though in conjunction with a low R wave is especially bad... you're much more likely to notice symptoms in this scenario and immediately seek help rather than pulling out the ECG to confirm there's a problem, lol..).

We are still waiting for the pictures of your paradise, if you really have one. You sure seem to get a lot of manual labor done in a few hours faster than a contractor would get done in a week!

Are you for real? Show us your paradise, you, your trailer and your van.

Yesterday you were all about the neighbors killing you. Gonna put up a fence, cameras and guns! Now you are so worried about what you eat, WTF are you doing, where ever you are? If I wanted to read about all the health crap I would CALL DR. PHIL

I'm not so worried about *WHAT* I eat, since I already have a pretty good idea of what to eat, I'm more worried about eating suboptimally due to ignorance, like regularly binge eating fruits which in my experience seems to cause issues (And, coincidentally, it's the way I've been eating for the last 1.5 years or so incorrectly thinking it would cause no harm because it's natural. However, I may have very well been harming myself which I now understand how. Nature isn't very forgiving of ignorance.). I'm not sure if binge eating apples is associated with a large blood sugar/blood pressure curve, but my experience suggests it's likely.

And, I already showed y'all pictures of the forest. What else do you want to see? My redneck tornado shelter? lol.

Anyway, recently measured my underground "cooler box" at 65 degrees. Seems that's what the average temperature of this area is, which agrees with what a person said online.

Seems like the cheese is still kind of melting, though, so I'm thinking I need it a little bit cooler.

What was that one refridgerator at walmart that's like always 20 degrees cooler than the surrounding and seemed like it didn't need electricity(Which seems bizarre, which is why I'm looking to confirm this.).

Oh yeah, it's a thermoelectric cooler. And it actually runs off of 12V.

All I need is a cooler that cools by 20 degrees or so. Should lessen the power consumption.

Oh man, everyone seems to be 40 degrees below or more. There's no real reason why the reduction is so high, is there?

And... as to my neighbor... he's been unusually quiet over the last 2 days. That either means 1) He's not trying to scare me off now now that his scout informed him... eventually... I guess...(?)... that I was a neighbor who owned a nearby property... or 2) He's plotting my assassination and he's trying not to raise my alarm, so he's going to let it cool for a week or so... than *bam*... dead.

And, interesting... from that page on fatty liver disease...

http://www.today.com/health/what-fatty-liver-disease-killed-george-michael-t108976

NAFLD is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and recent evidence shows that many patients with it are more likely to end up dying from the heart failure before they do liver disease.

It's caused by excess carb and sugar consumption and it's an independent risk factor for CVD. Yep, that directly supports my bacteria hypothesis.

I'm thinking for cooling one could probably snake a metal pipe through the ground and push outside air through the pipe. I'm willing to bet the temperature of the air would converge to the temperature of the ground (65 degrees). Or you could snake said pipe through a pond and it'd probably have a similar affect.

Oh god, the ants are invading, and I have no idea where they are coming from.

1) No bridges across the moats
2) No grass touching the underside (But there was)
3) I saw part of a plastic sheet getting close to a part, so I flattened it. I'm guessing these guys can stand on their tippy toes and "grab hold" of surfaces?
4) Filled up a moat that looked like it was getting a little dry (But still no seeable bridges).
5) Retracted all low hanging wires and wrapped them up so they aren't close to the ground.

And they keep coming! What the hell?!!

From not seeing ants for 3 days to a fullblown invasion with no easily visible trace of a trail on the outside.

It's be nice once I get the RV onto my driveway... no questionable "unseen" piece of grass or similar touching the RV.

The concern about this species of ant, fire ants(I think? Maybe red ants) is that they're nocturnal. They don't just "Go away" at sundown like the other species. So if I don't solve/stop the mystery by bedtime... Oh, looks like I'll have nocturnal visitors, lol. And, it's just easier to take care of the problem during the daytime where you can see everything.

Anyway, it's pretty neat that carrots will satisfy any genuine sugar cravings. Makes it pretty easy to "not overdo it". Plus, you'll know it'll last sometime due to its low GI, at least I think it would.

There are clay pot coolers but they're evaporative coolers for hot, dry environments. Don't know how well it'd work in Houston.

A pot-in-pot refrigerator, clay pot cooler[1] or zeer (Arabic: زير‎‎) is an evaporative cooling refrigeration device which does not use electricity. It uses a porous outer earthenware pot, lined with wet sand, contains an inner pot (which can be glazed to prevent penetration by the liquid) within which the food is placed - the evaporation of the outer liquid draws heat from the inner pot. The device can be used to cool any substance. This simple technology requires only a flow of relatively dry air and a source of water.

Oh cool. Seems like it'd work here about 70% of the time, then 30% of the time it's a little too humid, lol. (At least so far)

Anyway, seems like it's nice to have a pineapple on hand if you're ever running hypoglycemic. An easy way to tell if you are or not, start drinking some wine and see if you just naturally start chugging it, lol. (I don't recommend continuing chugging it, just as an indicator.)

And pineaple just make a quick fixmeup. Bananas aren't great because they're only ripe enough for like 3 days which doesn't fit well with weekly grocery shopping *And, these organic fuji apples don't seem to be great either. Solution: Pineapple time! The only downside is that the high quantity of sugar in a pineapple seems to easily cause a bacteria explosion, so it's handy to have a strong antibacterial on hand like garlic. I was hypoglycemic recently probably because I jogged 1/2 mile and ate a sweet potato. Don't know why, but sweet potatos seem to make me invariably hypo. Are these things like Lychee? You know, the fruits that ended up killing some kids who were suffering from hypoglycemia because it made them more hypoglycemic.

And, I scanned one, two, three more times... being very careful to find any other connecting paths other than my 2 wheels, power wire and trailer jack.... couldn't find anything, not the plastic sheets crinkling up, not a grass blade, not a tree branch, etc. and I'm still killing ants at a rate of 1-2/minute. Yep, I officially hate ants, lol. and, I need to find an alternative bed arrangement, like a bed stand. Because with the pervasiveness and ineluctability of these ants, I need to put moats on the feet of the bed to ensure I don't get unwanted nocturnal visitors, lol.

So, yep, that's getting moved up the priority list. A suitable structure to deploy a bed with feet in. And, it also needs to be easy enough to secure against insects, yes.

At the rate these suckers are coming in, you'd think you'd be able to find a path or something on the outside or at least some trace of ants. But, I can't find any trace of them, which is unusual for the persistent rate at which they seem to be entering.

And, I've seen so many ants, I think I know how they work. When they're wiggling their antennas, I think their whaffing them through to air to pick up odor molecules, essentially, it's how they smell.

Well... I think I could probably just get a bug net for my bed. Just need to make sure the bug net is suitable for ants.

Yeah, something like this.

https://www.amazon.com/Mosquito-Net...=UTF8&qid=1489105555&sr=8-10&keywords=bug+net

Well, I'm looking at the bed and it looks possible to raise it. Would need to get suitable blocks (I can probably just make them from existing lumber, would need to get another 4x8 sheet). The sensitive touch point would be the nearby stove.

Yep, so I'm going to raise the bed, install moats on all 4 legs, and then deploy ant bait everywhere. Signs are pointing to these guys colonizing my RV and I need to use "take the colony out" techniques. It just sucks these guys didn't give me adequate warning they'd persist all night long, so I couldn't prepare well for tonight - I assumed the problem would eventually get solved by the end of the night, since I assumed these problems were signs of a breech somewhere but there doesn't seem to be a breech. And my tent got gasoline dumped on it, so it's gone. Fudge. Well, I guess I'm heading to wally world tonight to get a tent large enough to stick my bed in, lol (That'll work for the "Moqsuito net" idea), It's questionable if that kind of tent could fit in here (not enough height). Maybe I'll deploy my lean to (already deployed) and just stick my tent underneath it, lol. Well, I'd much rather be in here... feels somewhat safer in this neighborhood.

Okay, so I found out where the ants were converging (Apparently they were picking off food particles on the wall from a previous owner, probably how they grew their colony), so I took the Terro bait and cut it open and sprinkled it everywhere. Didn't really think the advised way to use was particularly effective for my situation, so I figured that would probably accelerate it. And... it did, lol. About 3 hours later, man, it seemed like 100 ants were feasting on it.

And, I picked up a 2 person tent and air matress from wally world and ended up tenting it right behind my RV. I extended the tarp over the tent and attached it to the van for rain protection. And, yeah, I slept surprisingly well.

(While I was at wally world, I met a former navy nuke, he was a nuke from 70s when they were doing training near Napa valley,CA. My known history of navy nuke school goes as far back as Orlando, so that surprised me that there was another place that preceded it that I did not know about.)

Andway, I thought the ants feasting on it were all dead and I was like... well... not what I was imagining but I guess that'll work too. Well woke up this morning, the 100 "dead" ants were gone! Not a trace. Oh, so they were feeding, and I'm assuming they took it all back to the colony to share. Well, that's kind of nice. (In a "as long as they're not in my abode" kind of way, I think ants are kind of interesting critters. It was kind of cute watching that ants try for all his worth to pull the greasy food particle off the wall.)

And, I did another thorough inspection of my underside. Still did not detect a breach.

So, signs are pointing to an existing colony on board that must have set up shop in the floorboards or some such.

And, I just saw an ant.

Well, at least I don't see /as/ many as I did last night. There were a good 100-150 when I came back, now, I'm seeing one stray one everyso often.

I'm still paranoid there's a breech because of the massive number of ants that were onboard (100-150 or so it seemed), but I keep checking and I can't find anything.

Anyway, I did notice that these guys like to setup colonies everywhere in the forest floor. It was a challenge finding a place on my property that didn't already have an ant colony on it. So, I'm guess my RV got chosen as well.

I noticed after eating fruit, I get a certain feeling in my stomach (It's kind of an 'empty' feeling, but I know it won't be cured by eating more fruit), and I noticed that eating the salty pumpkin seeds seemed to cure it. The fat, or was it the salty fat, tasted particularly delicious so I'm assuming that's what cured it.

So, apparently fruit needs fat and salt to match it. Kind of like one my favorite 'complete' pairings, apples and cheese (fat and salt).

Sugar, fat and salt.

Seems like I've seen that demonized in processed food documentaries. But, I think the more appropriate demonization is processed foods, not fat and salt. Bacteria doesn't metabolize fat too readily (And many fatty acids seem to either inhibit or destroy bacteria), and salt inhibits it, so fat and salt are definitely not 'unhealthy'. Maybe they are in excess. Probably.

So, I think carbs, fat, salt is some kind of universal pairing. Seems like the tropical islanders typically used coconut for fat, and they added sea salt for the salt.

Jeez, getting some bullrock from home depot in preparation for the driveway, I noticed this "shed vendor" on the side of the road. Yeah, 95% those structures look like anything BUT a shed, lol. Huge large windows, front and rear door, multilevel, staircases, multiple internal rooms, lol. Yep, quite the "shed", lol.

[These buildings are undoubtedly popular in this area because the climate is such that you don't really need insulation during the winter and insulation is of little benefit during the summer when one popular technique is cracking the door wide open and running the fan. And, moreso, there's quite a few surrounding counties that don't regulate housing, i.e., no building codes, electrical codes, etc. So housing costs can be reduced drastically over housing in more regulated markets.]

So, the idea of living in a shed doesn't actually seem as rudimentary as it would traditionally seem, especially when they're nearly identical to traditional houses. I'm sure the key differences, at least in that guy's "sheds", are lack of insulation and possibly wiring.

I noticed the person who was being interviewed by police over a tragedy of some sorts has put up a new sign on their property, saying "No trespassing". Oh, maybe they were burglarized and the dogs got shot in the process. Yeah, I definitely need to know what's going on this neighborhood, definitely going to call the police. Looks like I need a security system not just for would be assassins, but burglars. (Also, foxes. And keeping the dog, bunnies and chickens in. Wow, so many benefits.)

And the fact the dogs got shot suggests armed burglary. But, I'm assuming they weren't there when it happened, so possibly not "dangerous burglars" (That is, they wouldn't intend to threaten shooting the occupants and robbing them directly.).

Are you literally talking about someone starts selling sheds on the side of the road? My sister is a few hundred miles away, she makes it sound as though she pieced together her various sheds out in the country that way. I was some 1,200 miles away while this was going on.

Yeah, wanting a 12x16 right now, wouldn't it be great is some bootleg operator was selling them at the low overhead price.

And the cops stopped by to visit at 7:46 p.m. at night and it's raining. Wow.

What prompted them to return again? "I was just thinking of you and thought I'd stop by."; he lied the first time, I can tell he's probably lying this time. Yeah, check up on me like 2 months later? lol. So, obviously what happened is that my other neighbor, who's been giving me warning shots, called the cops on me.

Man, so I need to really need to talk to this neighbor. Shit.

I really just don't want to talk to people who I strongly suspect are involved in manufacturing illegal narcotics (I don't think mary jane is typically manufactured using a flask, so me is suspecting something else). I don't want to be involved with them, I don't want to be in the situation where they inform me of their doings and then threaten me if I said anything, I just don't want any plausible negative scenario that could happen with me meeting them face to face.

(Come on guys, you can wait until monday... or wednesday... or something, right?)

From the warning shots to the cops, it's clear this neighbor just wants me to move because I'm assuming I'm situated in front of his "drug trail" (I'm at the intersection potentially looking down the road his drug trail passes through) and he's a bit wary of continuing operations, I'm guessing. It's why I haven't heard anything in this area for the last 3 days, I'm guessing.

....

well, it is plausible the first neighbor called me in. He reacted a bit differently today than on other days (Definitely not as cheery), and he clearly has a history of calling in the cops (Twice so far), so it is plausible. These other guys might be reluctant to call the cops as they might not want the favor to be returned... and they might have their own problems with police...

And, now that I think of it... it is plausible this road was blocked off by my druggie neigbors with the 16 passenger shuttle van. Even though it seems like that guy directly stands to benefit since all roads leading to the road past his house are conveniently blocked off, it is plausible they didn't want anybody driving by their drug trail. No, actually, that other guy just makes more sense... since it completely blocks off thru-traffic past his house with the other roads blocked off. But, then again... hmmm... these neighbors of mine act like they "own these woods"... so it's plausible they did block off complete access to the forest since that's where the drug operations were/are. And there is a profit incentive to block off access. (But why did they block off the other end, I don't really know.)

Anyway, I pointed the cops to the passenger shuttle van blocking the intersection and so they went down the road. I waited patiently for them to return... but they never did. I don't know what's happening/happened (I doubt the van ws removed in the last few weeks, it looks like it was definitely intended to stay there permanently.), but I sure wasn't going to walk down the pitch dark forest road that intersects the "drug trail" to find out, lol.

You know... I wonder if ants exist on the tiny panama islands. Maybe that's one of their secrets to longevity, lol. (Not likely, since other coconut consuming cultures who consume the native diet have similar longevity and I'm willing to bet okinawa has ants. The relaxation of being in the water and no ants, lol.)

Woah, boy, I think I might be planning on setting up a semi-longterm tent site on my property until I get this driveway finished. Just need to setup this plastic sheeting somewhere.

The ants just keep coming and it's a different species, so that's telling me another route was found. I did create a route via the tarp when I attached it to the van, so that's plausible (The 2 day delay in getting this route established does agree with that hypothesis), but I've since removed it and they keep on coming (I'd expect a delay between abolishing the route and the last of the ants.). It doesn't seem like this particular ant would colonize my RV, a little bit too large.

And, I've inspected 2-3x. I think a good quick inspect is once from the back and once from the front. You can see the entire length of the bottom-side that way.

Fudge, I'm suspecting there's a route I just can't see for some reason.

Update: Well, too early to tell, but it looks like they probably found a route via the tarp. Since removing it, it /seems/ their numbers have been dwindling and I haven't seen a huge escalation recently that's typically seen with still-existing routes. My RV is a popular place. To the ants, it's dry, warm and probably most important of all, it "smells good", lol.

And, I think I figured out it was my druggie neighbors. The police came at 7:46 p.m., indicating a likely call between 7-7:30, and coincidentally enough, that's when it becomes pitch black outside and that's the time they like to do their "drug work". So, I'm imagining they were thinking... "It's dark now, time to do some drug making... oh man, that guy's still there. Well, what can we do about that? Let's call the cops.".

You willing to barrier spray for ants, or are pesticides off your list?

I tried that, didn't work. I think barrier spray only really works for non-porous surfaces (i.e., concrete, wood). I could apply barrier spray to the boards the wheels are on, but they have pretty extensive moats and I haven't seen any ants around my wheels, so I'm thinking they are not likely crawling up my wheels.

Since retracting the tarp from the van, it seems like the invasion slowed/stopped. But then again, it did start raining (Not that I know if that stops ants.)

Yep, they taught us how to clean, fold clothes and dress up (And a little bit of marching towards the end). That's what Basic Training was good for, lol.

Anyway, sounds like the druggie neighbor just got a shotgun. I'm guessing he figured a pistol isn't intimidating enough (Or not suitable enough for his intended missions), so he upgraded. Let's hope he only purchased it for home defense, despite the fact he's been using his existing firearm in what is arguably an offensive capacity for some time (Definitely not defensive, that's for darn sure.).

It's funny how the cops got called at 7:00 p.m. last night, and than sometime before 12:00 p.m. today (The morning after), he suddenly acquired a shotgun. Something tells me he might have some "vigilantism" going on (I definitely would not call it vigilante "justice", lol.).

I'm thinking maybe I should call the cops. I'm not so sure if talking to my neighbor face to face on his property is ideal.

I was thinking I could pull my RV down the road sometime in the next few days, and sure, I'd be blocking the road, but I figure 3 days shouldn't be a big deal and then I'd get the driveway done and put the RV on my property (Well, actually, I would be blocking the clay delivery guy which would non-ideal, yes.). Then quickly construct that fence and move on, hopefully that could help defuse the situation. Though, I don't really know... maybe he just doesn't want me living in front of "his woods" period, and he's the type that works himself up until he sees someone dead. He definitely seems to have above average neighborly aggression and I seem to be in his sights.

Yeah, wanting a 12x16 right now, wouldn't it be great is some bootleg operator was selling them at the low overhead price.

He had a storefront on a property near the main road with various "sheds" of house-like sizes, look and feels, but not literally "on the side of road" like the raw Texan honey vendors you see here and there. (It's funny, in Charleston, the roadside people were custom wicker baskets, here, it's raw honey and many different roadside BBQ and taco vendors.)

The cashier at Home Depot mentioned she paid someone $300 to build a shed for her, and she bought the materials. It seems like you could get a basic shed going for 10-20% lower than the retail prices at Home Depot/Lowes if you had the designs, but I don't /really/ know. I'm just thinking through the 2x4s for the frame and the 4x8s for the sides. Not thinking of things like hinges/doors/windows/etc.

And, I think I figured out what's clogging up one of my right carotids. It's this perennially inflamed gum in the back right top molar where the dentist had operated (The gum is usually irritated, gets food stuck in it, and typically a little bloody when flossing.).

I've been of the usual opinion that surgery is best avoided when possible, since the operation site has a real risk of being vulnerable to bacteria/infection, and it looks like I've found out the hard way the same thing is true of seemingly normal dental procedures. And, it seems to be clogging up my right carotid. I can keep eating antibacterial foods as often as i want, but the inflammation/irritation is not going away (It probably helps reduce it).

One of my dad's airforce coworkers in his 40s died from lapband surgery due to bacterial infection. Methinks lapband surgery = stupid stupid stupid. Unusually high risk compared to substantially cheaper and healthier conventional alternatives (like, eating right, lol. I'm serious, it's that easy. You don't even have to exercise if you don't want to, though it does help accelerate the weight loss).

Anyway, this ongoing infection site is plausibly contributing to atherosclerosis systemically. Maybe not massively contributing like regularly binging on carbs, but it could be chronically contributing.

I'd be ignorant to say that dental infection is a modern commonplace malady. I think it's been pretty common throughout history, though it probably was a lot less common back in time when carb consumption came mainly in the form of fruits and vegetables. Though, I'm sure people were vulnerable to dental infection when they broke their teeth.

Anyway, I think the ideal dietary consumption pattern is...

Eating meals or eating snacks doesn't matter.

Eating fibrous natural carb sources (whole fruits, veggies, etc.) with an antibiotic fat and some salt. Other antibiotics can help, though I believe an antibiotic fat is probably the most effective.

Yep, I think it's that simple.

Fat helps increase absorption of the minerals/vitamins, the antibiotic natures helps keep bacteria levels down and reduces the meal's GI. The fiber in natural whole foods helps keep the meal's GI and bacteria down, and the fruit/vegetable skins contain minerals and antibiotic properties that helps keep the bacteria populations down. The salt, I believe, also helps inhibit bacteria growth and it seems to be essential for muscle function.

I suspect fat+carb is a universal pairing since it tastes absolutely delicious compared to normally eating carbs or fats alone. (Though, depending on one's current needs, eating carbs alone can also be delicious. Like after waking up.)

My historical problem was likely not consuming a fat with my fruits and also historically binge eating the fruits during meal time. And, I still have a problem integrating salt outside of canned sources.

I noticed that natural fat sources seem to have a natural 2:1 ratio of fat:protein. This seems to be mirror the 20:10% fat:protein consumption among healthy cultures. (Nuts & seeds, anyway, seem to have a 2:1 fat:protein ratio. At least peanuts.)

Anyway, created a simple short table from from a 4x8 (Table is 4x3) and some wood I had inherited from the previous RV owner. This wood he gave me has been handy, yes. I created the table to cover the generator so it doesn't get rained on and it's also pretty handy for chopping things on (Like pineapples) and writing on. I was trying to write on a piece of plastic, but it didn't seem like the sharpie really liked the plastic - got drastically lighter after the first letter, almost invisible. Seems to write fine on paper. I was trying to write...

Soy un vecino a la izquierda y mi entrada de coches esta terminando en dos a cinco dias.

Just in case they walk by or similar.

It is interesting that the one time the the matron walked by, she had this ultra buff dude swinging a machete walking with her. Kind of makes me think they might feel threatened which is odd, because I haven't been overtly aggressive at all. I wonder if this RV has a way of putting people on edge.

It looks like this, except with a brown tarp over it.

Ok, to find where they are in your trailer you can spray Pyrethrins in the cracks and crevices. When you find the ants they will come out and run around in circles before they croak. Pyrethrins are from the flower chrysanthemum, but have no residual. But pyrethrins will tell you where they are. I have had great results with CB-80, you can get it here: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/cb80-aerosol-17-oz-can-p-103.html

To get rid of ants once and for all you need something with Fipronil in it. This is bad stuff, outside only! I use Termidor SC. Available here http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/termidor-sc-p-184.html Not cheap but very, very effective.

I have battled carpenter ants for 20 years and finally eradicated them with these two products. Fipronil is da bomb! But be real careful with it. Keep it away from your garden.

If you have to spray indoors, use something like Suspend SC http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/suspend-sc-p-40.html

These are professional level chemicals and they WORK. You have to be very prudent with their use however. I hate bugs. I hate ants in my house. There have been no ants or any other bugs in my house for 3 years now.

Good recommendations.

On the apple subject, ripe organic small gala apples are freaking delicious. The ripe red ones that are almost mushy enough to be apple sauce - they taste like cherries you get ontop of ice cream sundaes! Oh god, never tasted an apple so delicious. Seems the secret is that they must be red (the reddder, the bedder) and mushy ripe. Maybe it's just the redness.(seems like redder = riper, just like cherries.)

I think once I get my RV on blocks, ant problems will be ancient history because there should only be 4 plausible ways to gain access, and assuming I effectively block of each access path, I should expect no visitors. (Really, should be possible as soon as it's on the driveway.)
