Car manufacturers appear to be jumping on the bandwagon and bringing out some seriously good looking bikes.

Anyone think that this could be a positive thing for the future of electric bikes, or is it just some company PR gimmick to promote their car branding?

Audi's looks pretty good too :p

I feel like most of these are just PR things, I don't expect to see an Audi electric bike riding around here anytime soon lol

The bike made by car maker are over priced. I haven't seen one work the money they are asking.

Lol, I never thought of that, maybe they are just non working show piece models

Audi have made the best electric bike to ever hit the market, IMO
It is very expansive, way overpriced for what it is, yet a fraction of what it cost in development. Audi never hoped to make any profit and mass production of it. It is only an exercise in design and engineering, a toy to promote the prestige of the brand.

I wonder if this is one of those "cheats" to lower average fleet MPG numbers?

'can't imagine eBikes would factor into automobile production stats but if the rules simply count "all vehicles" produced, perhaps it's "green vehicle" loophole of sorts?

More the merrier though and like many of us paying attention over the years - c'mon Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and the other big motorcycle manufacturers? Those companies should be able to absolutely "nail it"....

Why should they have any interest to show the public a cheaper and more reliable alternative to cars?

I would like to see from them a huge cargo-e-bike with 1kw power wich is still by law a bicycle. change the stupid law EU!

Why only car manufactures build ebikes where the limit is 250w and with PAS forced?

Or rather, the best electric bike to never hit the market...

If that was the case, they'd be mass producing the them, and giving them away at dealerships.

Was kinda hoping this Hyundai concept bike would make it into mass production :D

Does that thing have a fuel cell, like their cars?

You can buy it in Germany, for 16000 €
You could probably order one at any Audi dealer, adding transport and custom fees.

What is that, a 14" frame with fixed seat and 170mm cranks?

How is that a functioning bike.

Wow, bargain, I'll take three please, one for me, one for the wife and one just for shits and giggles

The only thing i like on the Audi motorcycle are the wheels without spokes.
1 crack in this carbon frame and its junk.
Gears change all 5000km in the middrive for 500€ i guess.

Yes in the EU its a Motorcycle (not a ebike) becouse its faster than 45km/h you would be required to make a Motorcycle Driverlicens on a real 200kg motorcycle for about 1k-2k€ and many hours of your time.

That is a trial bike

Oh, I thought it was road legal. I see now that they are not pedaling it at all. Well... You couldn't could you.

I'm still not sure what sort of trial it would compete in. Is there a class for it?

The brabus is too good for words. I hope that's not also for off road use.

edit: I'm wishing I hadn't of said anything now. The seat is adjustable. You could cycle it around.

It is not a competition trial bike. It is in a class of its own: CAT (computer assisted trial), for its controller program features are meant to assist the rider to learn and perform common trial figures. It logs the figures that have been performed along with the geo-locations where they have been done, and the rider can set the angle of the automatic wheelie limitation assistance.

Just wow.
I thought I was looking at a euro e-bike.
That is quite a step past where I thought we were at.
