I love these things, they work well with many, ghetto charge/balance setups, which allows me to ride and charge, with out trashing the batteries!! So far I have much confidence in them.
As I plan to design a charge system with alarms and auto shut off etc. around cell log 8 m, Using old PSUs. I know most here have this down Pat !! However will be using PSUs in series. Before I commit, Would love to hear about opinoins, warnings, and relieablity issues.
Thanks for the privalage

Pete

I have 4 of them, tested them often at first. They are precise and reliable, down to -20°C. At lower temp, the display fades and becomes impossible to read. I don't know if the fonction continues to be reliable then.

I have 2 and one does faded shortly after power up. Big eyeglasses, can read and seem accurite, It good before and after ride, so far I trust it .
If these things are as good as I think, it will solve many issues
Thanks

I have one & it seems a bit flaky - sometimes it works OK, sometimes it powers up then the screen goes blank. In which case the only recovery seems to be to unplug it & power it up again. Am I doing something daft? Have I got a bad one?
Also the supplied lead for the alarm output won't plug in (either way up). I've not forced it (yet) - is it something that requires a lot of force to plug in ot not?
On the face of it, it looks like exactly what I want to protect the lipos in the ebike, but these 2 issues are a concern.

There is a time out setting for the backlight and a sleep mode time out, Make sure sleep mode is off ! if its on, its not working. I'd check that out. I will say navigating this thing was fustraiting at 1st, and I screwed up the settings bad. But not that bad once you work with it a bit .
Yeah the covers and alarm wire's suck ! I opened mine up and soldered in a heaver wire and routed it out the side. So far so good ! Back to the Question How do they do in the long run.

There is a firmware update that fixed a lot of display issues with earlier ones.
Also, it has contrast and/or brightness settings somewhere.

Hit up the googler for more info :)
