OK, I'm assuming from the title and the variety these are warranty return packs you scored from a service center, right?
Regardless of the source I would recommend using a screwdriver for dismantling rather than putting them on simmer or boil.

On my lunch break today i got my cell phone and started with the yellow paged, made a few calls and found a service centre that was very friendly !
Dropped in for a visit and talked with the guy, explained that i'm not a " Total " idiot and understood very well what i was asking for. Went in the back and he had a bucket of power tool packs, nimh, nicad, and low and behold LITHIUM !
I gave the good man 20 $ and said " Thank You ! " and i'll be back once in a while to check in ! :wink:
Damn it feels good to get something cheap once in a while.. 8)
Opened one of the Makita 18 v packs, 5 green 18650's, 4 showing 2.7v and one 0.9v ..
Going to read up on Dr Bass threads right now !!!!!

B&D are unable to provide the C dicharge rate

Ypedal dont you know that to leave some li-ion battery on a oven top can become very dangerous !!
The makita li-ion battery have all the same problem. One of the cell is dead and the next in serie are right. the service center guys said that and i can confirm too... 98% of thepack i've dissassembled and measured had that trouble.

How do you go about removing the cells from the circuit board ? just dremel cut off disk and slice the tabs or is there a fancier way ?
