Change supplied pas?

I have received a new controller a *ESTR For Bafang Electric Bike Controller Kit 30A SineWave model YCRS326-027-49TAP(GO63) which I hope to pair with a SW900 display.

Included is a new 24 magnet cadence sensor not marked L or R .

Do you think I actually need to change my existing and working one which is marked as with 10 magnets.?

What benefit could there be to changing it and to which side would it fit given I does not show left or right on the casing?

I see the SW900 setup instructions do not have a left or right option either unlike the KT displays that I am familiar with.

It's trial and error. They usually only work with magnets spinning into the sensor in one direction, Given sensor can be mounted on two sides, and disk can be flipped too, there's a 1 out of 4 you installed it so it works.

Try to activate the PAS spinning the disk on a stick near the sensor. and then you will know how to mount it,

Do you know that Bafang Uart is different than Uart #2?. I do not have a link to your exact kit, but the KT controllers with the bafang motor connector are Uart #2. Versus bafang kits with bafang controllers are bafang uart which have totally different connectors like 3 pin brakes...bafang video connector (which cannot use sw900)... and bafang PAS connector.

I only mention it because I just converted a bike with a bafang G062 kit, and wish to change over to a kt controller because bafang uart controllers don't have cruise control.

When I ordered the controller I specifically asked which display worked with it and sw900 was one of 3 listed.
the very first ,before the kt controller I fitted, was a Lishui with a display that allowed very little settings ,that’s why I fitted the Kt and lcd3 combo. I still have the original 3 pin brake leads so I can swop if required.
the controller to motor cable is different but I have that and what I don’t still understand is why the separate 12volt and 6 volt light fly leads, the one short linked with a removable joiner is I assume the direction learning connection.

That's good that you got the Uart 2 controller... My kit was bafang Uart...so every wire was different. Some controllers have built in brake light leads.. I bet that's what the 6v light out is.

There are versions of the sw900 that are compatible with models of JN, Sabvoton, and Lishui controllers, but they aren’t interchangeable since the firmware needs to match. So did you buy it as a set with the controller, or separately?

Separately but if it don’t work I can return it and get the controller supplier to send one after all I asked them and they never mentioned any compatibility issues.

I have now found that some controllers with light wires with clip connections out put battery voltage and the thin wires can handle that as the led lights have a voltage buck converter built in so the load is low. If you fit Mc lights that need 12 volts in you have to fit a step down transformer a relay to operate the lights via the original display light switch.
