I'm going to guess that something get's overloaded because of the spark. If I take care and do it right. Disconnect the andersons, click the battery button off, Plug in the 1st charger cable, then the final one, then finally plug into the wall... It seems to work as usual.
Nothing is wrong, I posted that I might have found the reason why the OP's charger, and mine acted the way it did. My charger is similar and had been exhibiting the same symptoms. I was giving it some love taps to see if that was the case... I'm glad I didn't break mine.. Turns out it's been fine since I began thoroughly making sure that I had the battery off,and unplugged to avoid hearing a spark at the final connection.
