Charging port on generic packs?

Hi guys
I bought a used 10s pack, pretty sure chinese cells, that I opened to check the type of cells in the first place. Didnt see any markings though.
Anyway on the very small bms that it has, i can see the thin positive and negative charge wires soldered on the bms near the thicker main wires. The original outer casing has 2 different connectors. One for charging and the other for main power.
Is it possible to just remove/ignore the thin charge wires and then charge the pack directly through the main power plug?

sure. but the bms can't protect it from overcharging if you do.

it can only do that if you use the charge port.

Oh i see...thats good to know...wouldnt want any unexpected fires/explosions
