I see some lithium batteries selling brand new on ebay but I am kinds skeptical about the price because its very very cheap and I am wondering if the specs is correct.
Would they be suitable for my 24v ebike. I want to build a 60ah 24v pack from them. Plz go to the website below and tell me what you think.

Very cheap, but not frugal.
6000mah 18650s do not currently exist. These are 99.99% likely the same bullshit recycled/trash cells that are rewrapped by the same company ( surprised that they haven't changed their company name yet )

Please read this article about ultrafires and other battery sellers with such outrageous claims --^

I did get stupid once and bought batteries from a company that seemed legit enough at the time.. i chronicle the resulting fallout here--^

Unless this is some new magic chemistry, you'll likely get less than 2000mah per cell at less than a 1C discharge.

The best Samsung 18650s are around 3500mah. You pay a pretty penny for them.

A "4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000" mah 18650 is a lie. Pure and simple. They do not exist in any meaningful way. They "exist" because the ecig idiots will buy anything shaped like an 18650, as long as it's super cheap and has a huge number on it. I'm pretty sure you could use a sharpie, write "10000000000mah" on a stone dead cell, list it for $0.99 FREE SHIPPING, and you'd sell out.

They're junk. If you're lucky, you'll get a moderately consistent set of recycled cells around 1500-2000mah. If you're not, you'll get a random sampling of capacities ranging between 500mah and 2500mah, perhaps some different chemistries, and it will be nearly impossible to build anything useful with them.

Take a look at these brand new original/genuine gateway 12 cell laptop battery. I am planning on buying 8 of them and removing the cells to make a total of 48v 13.2ah battery pack for my e-bike. Do you think these are really genuine and what brand and type cells would be in this? I have sent a message to the seller but have not got back a reply as yet. Would these cells be suitable to use on my e-bike and what would be the safe max discharge rate at the configuration that I wrote above?

Also which laptop battery brand/model would you recommend that is made with top quality 18650 cells to make very good e-bike battery pack?

If you want to use 18650 batteries for your ebike battery build, I'd suggest you check them out here first. Most of them will work well at 1C or less discharge. IMO, none of them work worth crap at >2C discharge.
