Cheap Controller tester?

Anyone ever tried something like this? My kids are always wanting to get me something cheap and I could see using this instead of hooking up the CA and MM to each item.
 
Yes. I have one. Very useful,
-Great for hall sensors on motor.
-Tests speed and cadence sensors. Verify unknown leads. I always forget I have this box, and wond up testing those sensor connections by trail and error, not to mention wire coloe.

I have one like this, which has a round pattern of six LED's. WHen I connect to a working controller with the phases synced up, the LED's flash in in the circle once. If the Hall's are changed, it flashes differently, .Could be used to verify a controller's outputs are working.
