Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and i have a problem i bought a 1000 watt 48 volt hub motor kit from ebay, i'm trying to overvolt it to 72 volt (with the original controller). I've changed the capicitors and have had it working however i think it has an overvoltage protection circuit. The mosfets are 75 volt and i keep the voltage below that. When i turn it it on i get one constant LED and another flashing (occasionally). When i did get it running with a bit of load the peak power was 2100 watts! at 68.44 volt.Could some one help me?controller.jpg

where are the capacitors? what is the input voltage to the first regulator? i assume you did not increase the input power resistor. looks like the goldenmotor shenzen controller.

I think i've done it, there was a small link on the rear of the pcb linking the bat + to the voltage regulator cct , i cut this then re fed the voltage regulator from my 48 volt tapping on the battery pack. At first i was getting 7 led blinks then i discovered the blue motor phase uncoupled !! Reconnected this and magic the motor starts and runs on 72 volt. Thanks for the forums as i'm am new to this and an amatuer at electronics.
