Hello everyone.
So I am interested in building a new electric street luge. I figured I'd post here because it seems most similar to what I'm doing here. Anyway, my former electric luge would run a 52v 1000w brushless motor to a 12 inch knobby tyre with a T8F sprocket/chain and freewheel Designed to fit motor sprockets, but was essentially no different to a free wheel found on bike wheels. This build was around 6 years ago. For those interested, here is a video
Obviously safety has been updated as this was merely at its prototype stage when filmed.
I really liked this combination as it allowed the luge to coast when motor was not engaged. I was wanting to try something like this with my new project involving the Kunray KR5V 72v 5000w motor with 35# chain. But I want something that will handle the level of power that im dealing with here. I have seen 35# centrifugal clutch systems, but no information of people using it with this motor.
