Hi all,

I have a Conhismotor kit with LCD panel.
It's all based on 48v 1000w 20Ah...

The LCD is fairly programmable, so I can change wheelsize, speedlimit, etc,...

Now my issue is, The speedlimit only works on the throttle, but not on the PAS.
When setting the PAS to 60%, it is even then to fast to peddle with the family and kids. The bike goes to 32Kph in no time.

Is there a way to create a speedlimit on the PAS as well?

Thanks in advance

maybe buying a lyen controller, you can change speed limit. will do some programming , and change setting. I think changing a controller, or reduce battery to 24v type, you will still see 27kmh - 30kmh. in here, very few es members are using PAS , in order to have your desired speed you still will need a thumb throttle for speed full control.
there is another way of trying., is putting a small ohm resistor between signal wire and red wired. i dont know how many ohm is need. aslong u can signal back 50% less. your speed is divide by half

pas at the crank has a magnet right? .try to reduce few more magnets to send signal back to the controller. your speed will be less also. it is a way to do manually, .
the magnets you have pedal will contact with the hall sensor will be less, so speed is less too.

Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna try that tomorrow...

in singapore , people here want be faster. guess what they did add more magnets. you can even play with it, magnets on the sensor, see how it response. my slowest kit is the currie pro 24v 400w are very fun kit. you can see is indeed low power and yet top speed is 25kmh , maybe if i reduce voltage i will see lower speed. at times i like going round n round at my area. i hope you will achieved your desired results.

How good does your LCD speed limiter work? what do you connect it to?

thanks

cool that you can change PAS speed with magnets in the ring by adding and removing. I tried a front bike with PAS and really its no human power, its like having a motor really...

In many circumstances, the PAS sensor is only trying to detect that you're pedalling. The speed control is done by the display/controller, so changing the magnets has no effect on speed. Some controllers do indeed measure cadence, and they have a power algorithm that gives power in proportion to cadence. Therefore you'd need to add magnets to get more power at lower pedal speed, not remove them. The only thing removing magnets will do is cause you to have to pedal further before the power kicks in, so don't waste your time trying it.
