I have a Heinzman hub motor I'm setting up. My packs are 36v nimh and a 36v lipo that charges to 42.5v

An engineer friend has suggested this

I'm wondering about the details of the low v cut @ 41.5 and the ability to go to 72v?

What do you guys suggest?

Thanks,
Al

At that price how can you go wrong. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them and never had a problem.

The low voltage cutout will be too high to use with a single pack. It might be possible to bypass or change it. I'm not familiar with that particular controller, but there has to be a way.

I would guess the FETs are rated for 75v, so 72 would probably be too high. You could get away with 60v. No way to be sure without opening one and checking the numbers on the parts.

If you found another model with a higher voltage rating, it would probably be easier to make it work at a lower voltage than vice-versa.
