Crystalyte Controller / Does it Rain in China?

Where can I buy some 10 Gauge single conductor flexible wire with real small strands?
Want RED, BLACK, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE.
Got miles of THHN but want something more flexible for Electric Bike Project.
Do not want 100' or 500' rolls. Where can I buy 10' or so?

Cheapbatterypacls.com sells really really floppy 10awg by the foot, but only in red and black. The wire also uses rather thick silicone insulation, so it might not even fit. I suppose you could buy some of that wire, trip it, and then heat shrink wrap it for a thin insulation. Might not be effective, though.

Best SWITCH web site I have seen...
I'm favouring a mercury switch. No "moving parts" exactly. And will work to the end of time w/zero maintenance or danger from exposure, unless crushed, chewed etc of course.

It's just such an elegant switching solution. ...that little puddle of liquid metal encased in glass...

OK, maybe don't throw it upside down into the luggage rack unless all dead.whatever. Is this to switch pack amps or LV contactor? I expect you mean low volts...

mercury switch?????? Think they usually used in things that tilt? The hood light switch on your car. On that springy thing in the thermostat. Also mercury is dangerous stuff. Don't touch it.

Re: 10 Gauge wire
THHN [Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon-coated] is what most places sell for single conductor wire. Available by the foot at Home Depot. This is what we pull through conduit.

MTW [Machine Tool Wire] Looks and feels like THHN but has very fine small strands. 10AWG has 104 strands as per chart I find here http://www.alanwire.com/awscripts/makspecs.cgi?ntype=MTW

McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com sells 10' lengths of 10AWG MTW. Here's the problem. BLACK, GREEN, BLUE have small strands. RED and YELLOW have big strands. I called to complain. Guy said "can I put you on hold and do some research on this?" I said sure. After being "on hold" for very long time, I noticed he hung up :x . Have no more time to complain about $5 worth of wire. Some positive comments on McMaster-Carr. Unbelievable selection of stuff. Best easiest to search web site on the internet. Order stuff 6:00 at night. Order is on my porch the next day.

Found fine strand RED and YELLOW MTW. If you cut 10' off a 500' roll. 500' roll is still 500' :D

I'd go for the fattest ones you can fit in there. Even 8ga. if you can fit it.

you can fit 8ga in the new controllers, i tried it (and killed a phase) had to drill out the front plate though to fit the extra wires in :)

Check out my riding raincoat. My panel box, throttle, ebrakes and motor switches are all well protected.

My battery pack and controller is not as waterproof. Made with two 45 liter garbage bags and clear packing tape!

Soon I'll fab a custom fit Riding Rain Coat secured with velcro and made from Dollar Shop bicycle covers. If I design it right, I would be able to dump a bucket of water on my bike, no problem!

That's my groceries hanging at the back btw.
