Crystalyte HS 3540 72v

Hey I thought I was buying the legendary 5304. I was fooled. I'm just passing it forward. Anyway Look at the space I would have if I use my wifes bike then I could have two motors two batteries and two controllers. Just kidding.I also posted a jpg of a cardboard mock up of a battery case that will hold four zippy's with extra space on all sides. The hairy arm and hand is in there for scale.

Did they market a Hs3540 to you as a 5304?
If they did. That would be very misleading.
I think you were confused by ElectricRiders naming scheme.
"7240 Cruiser."
Was once a powerful combo. (X5)
Now its lighter, but not as power capable.(Hx)

I rode this for a couple of seasons. $500 from Canadian Tire.

2008 Schwinn IZip.JPG

Sold it for $100 & some herb
Had a severely warped rear rim, so disconnected rear brake.
Dying batteries. No chain.
I kind of miss its simplicity.
Frame was strong, lots of space.
Comfortable cockpit.
Slow as a constipated granny though.

I hope Hobbyking is giving the correct measurements on the zippy battery packs because I started fabricating the aluminum battery box so it will be done when the batteries get here. All I should have to do is connect everything together. Hopefully there won't be to many things I hadn't thought of during the build.

I called electric rider yesterday asking if they were selling the 5304 5305 or the newer HS HT versions. They, well the secratary after asking someone said she had never heard Of the HS HT versions and all they dealt with was the 5304(cruiser) and 5305(brute). The owners manual confirms this. There is much skepticism from many of you guys here in es, so it makes me wonder...? Anyone have more solid info? actually bought the kit?

If true, that's all sorts of wrong.
X5 has been out of production for a little while.
What they used to sell as Pheonix kit was
Racer X5303
Cruiser X5304
Brute. X5305
Now they sell Pheonix2 kits
Cruiser Hx3540
Brute. Hx3525
An adequate motor, but not an X5
If they told you they have never heard of the hs or ht,
They lied.
If they still have X5's for sale then great.
If their selling Hx 's as X5's then there is a big problem.
Don't be fooled by their advertising gimmickry.

Electricrider.com has so far been great in execution of my order. I live only a few hundred miles away in Texas. My kit arrived in 2 day after ordering it. After some research the motors seem to be the sensorless Hx line 3525 and 3540 manufactured by Crytalyte but with some customization expressly for electricrider. What exactly that means I'm not sure. I will report on the performance of their package in the coming weeks. I only wish I had the experience of riding with a ledgendary 5304 or even next to a 5304 to compare.

It is the day after Christmas and I just recieved a Meanwell 350w 23.2 amp power supply and an iCharger 206B. I am already thinking I should have gotten more muscle. To late now.
