Cube Hyde TSDZ2B build

My build is (apart from minor details) finally finished. Donorbike was a Cube Hyde Race black´n´flashgreen 2017.
I use the bike for commuting 26 km to work and 26 km back again (therefore the fender and the carrier).

- Motor is a Tongsheng TSDZ2B with OSF and DZ41 Display
- Chainrider 21700 battery pack, 48V 14.4 Ah
- Hydraulic Discbrakes
- Suspension Seatpost is a Suntour SP12-NCX
- Also suspension in the stem (Redshift ShockStop)

- Alfine SG-S7001-8 hub gear
- Gates Carbon Drive CDX rear sprocket
- Gates Carbon Drive CDC Mud Port sprocket in front

Heavy modding had to be done to fit the motor with the belt drive.
I am using a 110mm to 130mm BCD adapter to fit the front sprocket to the motor.
Removed the plastic cover from the TSDZ2B (for additional belt space) and filled it with epoxy resin.

I have a similar set of components, but have been unable to get the belt line set up correctly.

I used the Gates CDC Mud Port, because with this one i can get as near to the frame of the bike as possible. The CDX rear sprocket is unfortunately pretty close to the hub gear.
Between the Mud Port and the BCD adapter i added some spacers (~2mm). With those spacers, I have perfect lining for the belt:



Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the engine with the epoxy filled in, but I can try to take another one if you want. The cables coming from the controller in the motor have to go very flat past the housing so they don't touch the mud port. For the additional mounting of the TSDZ2 in the center brace of the frame, I created a custom bracket and bolted it to both.

Still works like a charm after 2000 km!

Wow, this is looking pretty awesome. I was just thinking about doing something like this so I don't have to worry about excessive chain wear / maintenance.

Just not sure if I could still take it on trails.. I mean is it only marketing that Alpfine's are designated 'city gearhubs'?

I also see the parts lists with the sprockets, but not how many teeth? And what performance are you seeing, not just speed but mostly battery drain?
