Cycle Analyst data logger data..what to do with it

I am sure I have asked this before, but can't find the thread or even remember how I did it before


have the data from the CA data logger, both the GPS data and the CA battery data.

How to use the GPS data on a Mac to view the track in ..Google maps..or similar..

I thought I had used Houda GPS before (GUI front send to GPS bable) but can't get the text files to convert to anything with it. I changed the text files to a CSV extension to allow Houda to see them and load them ..but it does not produce anything apart from a warning that there is an error in Console...but I can't find that error in Console.


I seem to remember using the battery data within log view before, but the GPS data has got me stumped.
the new Beta LogView Studio will intergrate gps data too, but at the moment it does not support file input, it only accepts data from the device directly

I had no seen that ..but reading it..looks like I will have to do two conversions..to the plt file then from plt in to gpx or ilm.

pretty sure I had down it directly before...but just can not remember how.

but it made me think again.

Houda GPS...converts to kml etc..I just needed to change the extension from txt to NMEA.

I previously tried to use csv extension and import as a CSV to Houda...but NMEA was the answer

this is where i went today.

Black track from South east corner, to airport and back.

First time on the bike since..january...broken arm and damaged tendons meant bike riding was out as I had, at all costs, to avoid further damage.

I have been off work since August

Thanks for posting the GPS data from your CADL. Would you mind posting the battery data? I'd love to see what that looks like.
