Hello there,

I just installed my cycle analyst, and fixed the wheel magnet but nothing shows on the screen when the wheel turn. Maybe I wrongly fixed the magnet?

How it look like when the wheel turn on the Cycle analyst:

On my screen, the speed is always at 0 kph and I have negative wattage (-33 watt).

Any idea what's wrong with my speedometer?

It needs to be fairly close to the sensor, and move past it in the right spot. Can you get a pic with them lined up next to each other? Also, the wattage issue should be cleared up if you go into your settings and "zero amps".

The first picture shoulds the magnet and the sensor next to each other. I tried to make it as close as possible, sometime at each turn it was even touching the sensor.

I've put the magnet close to the center of the sensor (as in the picture). Is it the right position?

Maybe the picture isn't clear. It looks like the magnet is below the sensor, instead of passing next to it.

When I got my first big screen CA the speedo didn't work either. You might take the back off and check the wires to the board, mine was not connected. I have seen all size differant wires used for the pickup to the board. Mine was very fine and a little short for my setup.

Soldered the wire on and off we went.

I have the same problem as OP, I have searched around for a fix checked the wires are soldered to the board, the reed switch clicks when a magnet passes by, and there are no shorts, in the wiring.

It was working and suddenly stopped earlier today.

any Ideas should I just find an old speedometer and rip the switch off of it?

Even if there are no shorts in the wiring, the may not have any connection between the reed switch and the board.

You can measure that fairly simply, by leaving power off the CA, and measuring ohms at the PCB pads for the speedo wires.

You should get a very high value when no magnet is near the reed, and a very low value when one is close enough to the reed to make it click.

If it is always high value, there is probably a break in the wire somewhere between reed and PCB. If not, the reed itself could have failed open, but this is rare (and they don't usually click anymore).

If it is always low value, then if there's no short in the wires, the reed could have failed shorted (but they don't usually click anymore).

If it changes value normally, then the most likely problem is a setting in the CA Speedometer menu, where it is set to the wrong number of poles, to something very high, so that the single pole of the reed switch is simply not enough at any speed you are going to generate enough pulses to trigger the CA's reading anything.
