My 1000w cyclone (external controller) is setup for clockwise rotation. I can wire it for the other direction, right? If I do, should I get the same efficiency out of it. Having sensors, I wasn't sure. All the threads I find on here address the motor with the built in controller (I did look, but I may have missed it), so I thought I would double check.

I am looking at using it with my racelink and want to flip it around.

I am also ditching the needle bearing 7t sprocket and looking at drilling out a 13t #24 from electricscooterparts.com. I am a little concerned about trying to dimple this motor shaft and drilling out the sprocket. Will it be too hard? I would like to go down to the 11t but am not sure if I will be able to bore it out and still have enough material for the set screws to bite.

It turns out I may keep it in the original direction. I can mount both my sprockets on the right side directly on the jack shaft. It all depends on how the chain line works out. I have a floating brake arm on the other side that limits the diameter of my sprocket. I can easily fit a 80t even a 100t #25 on the outside of the existing sprocket pictured here. But there are a lot of moving parts that I haven't worked out yet since deciding to use my cyclone. Its good to know I have the option of reversing it.

Thanks boostjuice. I may be calling on you again soon when I start modifying my controller. I can't wait to try it with my new pack.IMAG0010.jpg
