cylcle analyst speedo problem

it got my big screen ca installed. it's not the version with speed sensor.

afaik it determines the speed by counting hall signals. this works great, as long as speed is below a certain level. i can't say the exact number, but somewhere above 20-30km/h it just shows ZERO.
motor is a bmc/mac 8t, controller eb209 - same with eb309.

any ideas?

did you set the cycle analyst for the correct pole count for your motor?

if yours is one of the geared BMC/MAC motors, did you remember to correct the pole count for the gear reduction?

yes. 32 magnets = 16 poles
gear reduction 1:5
-> 5 * 16 = 80 poles

as mentioned: it shows the correct speed. but only until a certain speed is reached.

it seems to be a similar problem, but i DID NOT set my speed to >100%. so it should be something different?
should i call ebikes' support?

Try the 100%.

If that doesn't solve the problem just give them a call.

all 3 settings are programmed to 100%. always were, as i don't use a 3-step switch.
so i will give ebikes.ca a call/email.
