Dapu DPCKTQ (or ZW) crank torque sense

Looking for information on how the Dapu DPCKTQ-01 (or ZW01) drive-side, torque sesing crank and its PAS circuit card (which connects to the controller on a flat 5-pin connector, not a Higo or Julet) work. The magnet is lightly magnetic and continuous (concentric). Testing proved it is not cadence sensing. How does it sense torque? I thought my torque sensing was in the geared hub (also Dapu 350W). Thank you.
