I have this etrike, also with the same G51 display and motor I believe. My question is, does anyone here know how to make 45km/r my top speed? I'm only able to go 32km/r. I'm able to get into the controllers settings but that's about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been looking into ways to get just a little bit more speed and I think 45km/r would be the sweet spot.

Thanks in advance!

You might have to run a higher voltage for that, or replace the motor with a faster winding. So you’d have to reconfigure or buy batteries to make higher voltage, or lacing a faster motor in your wheel. The controller program alone won’t get you that fast, but if it has a top speed lock in the software parameters you could gain a little better top speed unlocking it.

To my knowledge, the model in the video is the same as mine so there shouldn't be any need for additional modifications. Although, maybe I do need the modification software.

Some search shows that it does about 30kmh out of the box and there is no mention that its top speed is limited in the software. But, some different versions of this trike are available on Amazon, and they might make a faster one for some countries, or for some resellers requirement. Seems that they are all 48v, so I believe the faster ones just have a faster winding of the same motor, because it is the same cost and the simpler solution.

Reading the comment on the video, could be the 45KM speed might not be a realistic expectation. They don't actually state 45KM/hr, just 45KM.

The comment on the video is from me and the display shows him reaching 45km/r. There must be something missing here. He's in Vancouver so I'd imagine it's the Canadian model.

Thank you for the insight everyone.

Daymak is limited, I went to a local ebike store (Ebike Universe) that sells Daymak last year, so it has to be limited to 32kph.
Maybe there is a quick an easy hack for the Daymak like the Sur Ron where you just use a jumper pin... but I doubt it for a company like Daymak. Otherwise you got to figure out whats proprietary and whats not, hopefully you can reuse your battery and just buy suitable generic controller that suits your batteries discharge rate.

Well, changing the wheel size parameter from 20" to 28" would change the speed display from 32kph to 44.8kph.
( 28/20 x 32 = 44.8 )

Very interesting observation. I actually had to correct that setting myself as the speed readout was not working properly. I have a feeling that just might be the case here as well. Thank you.

Hello Endless Sphere community! I've owned a Daymak Florence FT for a year now equipped with a Bafang 500w brushless motor and a G51 display. It seems to top out at 35km/r, my question is, is there a 1000w motor I could upgrade to that's capable of 48km/r that would be simple to install?
