Hi, I am having some serious trouble with my Zero FXE 2022. It's just out side of warrenty and I'm New Zealand with no service support. Any fault find support would be hugely appreciated!!

The bike was running well until a week ago and now it is almost completely unresponsive.Turning the ignition on just gives a double flash of the red LED charge symbol on the display. I have no 12v accessories and no indication of charging other than a change in LED state on the battery pack.

The bike only has around 3000 miles on it. Battery LED indicators are showing a healthy state and half charge state.
  • I have checked high and low voltage fuses
  • I have reset the BMS hardware and software via the buttons on the pack
  • I measure 11.5V across the ignition switch (is this a healthly volatge?)
  • I measure a pulsing signal on the enable wire to the DC-DC converter when i turn on the ignition
I should also mention that the TFT display screen is damaged. The back casing is cracked open and while the backlight and side LEDs used to come on, I had no image. It had been running like this for months with no issue and I have a new TFT display on order. Is it possible that this damaged display is causing all of my issues? Should the bike still run without the display connected?

Thanks in advanmce for any tips/info! i would love to get this thing running again

Is there a 12V (lead/acid/gel) battery in the bike? If so the 11.5V might be too low (should be above 12V, normally 12.5-12.8V) and the battery needs to be charged. Has the cracked open display casing let water in? Maybe disconnect the display and remove, open and check inside.

You might have already reviewed the documentation here (link below). It sounds like as SlowCo notes, the battery or DC-DC (regulated 13.8v output) might not be producing enough power for the system to start. Can you temp. connect a nominal battery to test/verify?

Hi guys, thanks for the input.

I do get a different response when i connect up an external lead/acid battery (12.8v) to the to DC-DC output terminals -
- The backlight for the display comes on
- The lights/ horn and accesories are on

But still have no drive with the key on, so I am begining to think the issue is with the main bike board. Either that or my 12.8v is still too low. I will try a 13.5v supply

I have also realised i was probably checking the enable voltage wrong.
The pulsing signal i get is between the low voltage - and the enable wire.
I see no volatge between the enable input and the - input
I have 99.5V between the + and - input

I also got 0v when i tried to measure the 12v output when everthing is connect up.
