So what's the reduction ratio of that box?

Although it does use up the battery pack fast when doing so.

No, you are right. there should be around 30 Nm at the clutch, they claim 180 Nm at the cranks.silence said:

My favorite power and speed calculator says 3000W at the wheel only yields about 41 mph/66 kph with a sit-up-straight riding position. That's closer to 4000W from the battery.
thx for the hintlarsb said:at least 3d print a small chain guard or forget this concept if you like good brakes
larsb said:I read this thread, however much i like the left drive concept i think that lubricated chain and disc brake side by side is not good even with a disc shield.. Even the dry lubes fling off a little and some end up on the brake.

caught this by putting another 5mm thick sheet to left sideplate so the chain tensioner stands out further 5mm and lines up with the chain, as can be seen in the piccrossbreak said:Unfortunately the chain tensioner doesnt fit as is, the bolt that fastens it on the sideplates of the drive is slightly too short :? I hope i can come up with a quick workaround and a final solution. I think i have to add a sheet to align this tensioner properly.
Hm... :? it indeed looks like in the last picture. I will try! it will most liekely interfere with the right hand chain wheel i guess. A slightly shorter motor would fit though.Grantmac said:Could you not mount the motor above the BB behind the seat tube? I've been looking for a frame to do exactly that.
Thanks! Yeah this is what i meant with supsension stuff. The damper needs a full service and i have to check all clearances. The fork would need a service, too but I am too lazy ATM. I have to get really angry at this fork to overcome my inner couch potatoSlowCo said:Looks good :thumb:
Will the chain not touch the bottom bracket when the rear suspension is completely compressed? If it does, then you might need to lengthen the chain and let the tensioner push down the chain more. Or move the tensioner more rearwards closer to the bottom bracket maybe.
