Since my bike is 80 pounds and I'm over 200 and I have to stop from time to time, my disc's are paying the price. They turn smoking hot colors, warp in odd ways and wear my pads out frequently (every 3 weeks for pads and 2 months for discs), I need to go bigger.
I currently have Dart 3's, 160mm avid 5 on the front. Which adapter do I need to go with 200mm disc and Juicy7's?

Wow looks ugly. I never even tried to use the 160mm rotors, that came with my bike, just bought adapters and installed the 203mm as I figured if I was going faster I needed to stop faster as well. The rotors were the only brake upgrade I did and with 10K miles logged it's plainly all I will ever need. I am at 250lbs gross weight and the brakes have put me up on the front wheel more than once. Have as yet not had a problem with warping. You want something that says its for 203 mm, if that's your rotor size, and mounts like your original unit. Some adapters mount parallel others like yours, as well as mine, mount vertical. Lots of these around if you Google and specify images. Most of the bike shops have them available. Oregon city hills that's why they look like that.

Do a search for "post mount adaptor" on Ebay, then pick out the 200 or 203mm ones, which say "post mount to post mount". They're the ones without holes in the sides. There's two types: Some are simple spacers like this one:

Some use two sets of screws with off-set holes like this one:

203mm rotors should do it, or even 220mm rotors. I like the Hayes H8 rotors and find them superior to the Avid rotors, Although I think Avid makes the best calipers.
You may want to rethink going to hydro brakes. if you can heat up the rotor enough to warp, you can heat up the caliper enough to boil the fluid. A better alternative is to switch from Avid BB5 to BB7s. The square pad on the BB7s distributes the heat a little more evenly over the surface of the rotor.

Larger pad surface and larger-heavier rotors, those are the factors that can make your disc brakes better in performance and reliability. Magura Gustav or Hope M6 , adapted with 9" rotors, are the best performance solution that is available in bicycle components.

I got my new Avid 203mm disc (ebay $15.98) and 203mm post to post adapter with screws (ebay 14.09) yesterday. The screws were about 3/32" too long, so I had to sand them down because they were bottoming out.
I'm still a little undecided on the calipers. There are so many options... I want to stay below $100.
Oh yeah... Now I need a front wheel. Now my bearings are shot. (When I repacked them, I noticed a lot of wear and they dont roll so smoothly anymore). Are they supposed to last longer than 5000 miles?
