Hello, new member here

I currently have a 1982 Delorean that I plan on converting to electric. I got a leaf motor and inverter with a thunderstruck controller. After a lengthy discussion with Hagerty, I learned that they would not insured DIY conversions and that only "approved conversion kits" could be considered.

Can anyone in the US help point me in the correct direction to get my car covered?

Im in GA in the US.

Grundy said they'd cover it, but when I got the application the car was marked as having an unmodified drivetrain despite telling them repeatedly it was a custom electric conversion. Something just seemed off about that to me.

I called american collectors and they said they'd cover it. Ended up going with them since it's also covered during the conversion process (undriveable).
