Also does Ping offer tracking on the packages? For those of you who bought from him, what type of duties / customs charges did you pay, if at all any? Looking from a Canadian standpoint, but will take a US point of view too.

I'm new to this electric bike thing and haven't dealt with Ping, so I don't mean to denigrate his sales in any way. But I know several people who used the gift features of PayPal to get around fees and didn't realize that they weren't always getting the same PayPal protections as when they were truthful about purchasing actual products. You or the seller might be saving on fees, but you might be exposing yourself to big problems just to save a small buck.

Both of my pings came EMS. I did sweat bullets the first purchase. At that point Ping had not yet developed the reputation he has now, and some were posting dissapointment due to having bought too small sizes that couldn't deliver 30 amps.

My second purchase a year later, I slept like a baby while waiting. I had zero worries that the battery I ordered was coming, and would work. Not very likely that you'll be needing any protection when dealing with Mr Li Ping.

nothing but praise for mr ping here from the uk. ordered a charger from him on a sunday night it arrived on wedsday morning 3 days to get from china to uk mr ping is a star seller.

Ping is a A+++ seller. Sad he doesnt do 3C+ continuos packs.

He usually send batteries with EMS, but you can ask for fedex, ups, etc if you want.

Ping indeed has a good reputation, its just that I know someone who did the PayPal gift thing with someone less well known and got burned. The fact that someone can post a question like the one that started this thread and get real feedback from actual buyers means a lot to me.

he deducted the paypal fee from my order, he has a facebook page too, li ping should get you there.
