Just got a new camera sorted out with a helmet mount. Took it out with the dirtbike to vid the local single tracks. The entire video is about 20 min of riding, covering about 3 miles. Here's part 1 .

Hope you wear the protection on your feet and legs from the rattle snake might jump bite you.

I had rattlesnake bit my right arm during the backpacking hike with family and my step dad pushed me down ground. I saw
rattlesnake jump on me and i reacted put up my arm cover my face so fast. My step dad killed rattlesnake and first aid procedure then took off to ranger helicopter flew to the emergency room. :)

It was no fun being so painful and feel like my arm was on fire.

Back to subject, Sound like you had blast fun riding desert trail!

I've been hiking and rock climing in the Dona Anna's since my teens, and found them more snakey than any other place I've been in NM. But they seem to like the higher parts of the mountain best, usually finding them near the top of the peaks. The face where I learned to rock climb was particularly bad.

But the lower slopes have had white guys killing all the rattlers for 150 years so they aren't too thick there. Nor is the venom as strong as with some of those California snakes. A snakebite here is pretty rare actually. And fatalities are unheard of except for dogs.

In summer, when you ride in the early morning, all along that trail you see about a zillion lizards and non poisnonous snakes that come out onto the trail to sun themselves. I suppose when the place starts to fill in with houses, and shooting is banned, the snakes will fill the niche again. But for now, the rattlers have been driven out by a zillion guys who all pack guns.

Great video Dogman, thanks for sharing it with us!

That scenery it amazing, so different from where I live in England.
Looks like you have some great bike trails there 8)

excellent video.made me thirsty.that has got to be bumpy as all.... but you made it look smooth as silk.

Ah gotcha, I understand and I trust your knowledge of the safety. Keep it up and beautiful scenic desert land.

Yeah we love it. But once in a while, we just have to jump in a car and go see a pine tree. About a 100 mile drive one way usually. Santa Fe is much more popular because you have the desert, but the forest is 5 miles away.

Gottta hand it to the local bike club, the Rimrattlers, who bust thier asses maintaining this trail system with about 20 miles of trail. They really keep it nice.

Ok Dogman you can drop the mask!!!
At 00:27sec on your first video we finally know how you really look like :) And this with only your shadow:
yeah yeah you're right, the little red one on the right :-D

Sorry I could not resist

Yer close but wrong. I'm the pervy fruity one on the left. Kinky winky is the name I think?

Here is some more video. This time it's boring as watching golf. Three sections of video shows 70% of my 15 mile commute. Only reason to post it, is it shows how having a good route makes all the difference on a commute.
