Dr.Bass Steveo found 7s3p Module! Awesome Price!!

Mike,
I am curious as to what would happen if the module were indeed defective and that was discovered by the agent by a simple voltage check. My experience with Victpower is that they could send you poop in a box and the only way you would ever get even a partial resolution is to buy more stuff from them,.

I am not sure but it is probably dependent on whether the seller has the items in stock or is drop shipping, if they have the items in stock, then as far as they know they are selling to another Chinese person, so probably in their best interest to ship something that works, of course there are no guarantees with these things. My suggestion is to contact a few taobao agents and ask them these questions directly.

Michael

I found this taobao site selling a few different configurations I hadn't seen before, as well as the ones we've been seeing at victpower.

Some of the pictures show the batteries pretty banged up.

Interesting picture here (note the reject stickers)

These prices do not include shipping, and you would of course need an agent to organize it for you.

Interesting. I hadn't seen the picture with all the different modules together.

I haven't had any luck getting an agent to reply to email. Any suggestions?

Have you tried http://www.taobaotrends.com these were the only ones I found who would ship batteries (they even sent me pics of the batteries before they shipped them to me). They were pretty good to deal with, the guy I communicated with was Colin (probably not his real name  ) they have a sister site called http://www.taobaobroker.com/ you could try them as well.

I have just received one more 28S3p pack from VP making my total 4 good packs. Appears intact and physically undamaged.

All cell groups same voltage (so no dead groups) but only 2.83V each on arrival so now on bulk charge to bring them up to a decent resting voltage.

Touch wood I am pretty pleased with my 4 packs from VP.

Help

If anyone has a couple of the BMS covers and screws off the end of these A123 Modules/packs going begging I'm happy to pay a few bucks.
If you can shove them in a jiffy bag and send to UK. PM with details.

Thanks Peter

Excellent! There are so many batteries listed that confused my mind.

I want to wholesale some, and search in google find<spam links removed>which can accurately get the<spam links removed> items as follow:
<spam links removed>
the prices are a little higher than items from original taobao.

After contacted with their online service, get that It is from charged service fee. and the orders above $50 can get free shipping service. sounds quite favorable.

What do you think about it?
or anyone can help me directly buy from Taobao with your professional english and chinese?

Hi janetang,

The free shipping will be internally in China only, so if you deal with a Taobao agent, it may be shipped to them at no charge, but then you will have to pay shipping to you + agent commission + insurance + customs + take a big risk that you will get something you can use.

I will sell my 7S3P Pack for $300.00 CAD/USD + shipping.

This pack was charged, and discharged and then recharged, it has 58.3Ah at a 20A discharge rate(that's low I know, but that's the only way I could test).

The pack was recharged a month or more ago and it still has 3.42 voltages per parallel pack.

Let me know.

I read this thread, all 35 pages of it. What a rip snorter of a tale, intrigue, red herrings, some pearls of wisdom, like PeterPerkins radio enabled BMS. How cool is that? On a whim I emailed the fem fatale at Victpower. Current asking price on the 7s3p is $283.30 & $1066.60 for the 28s3p, & very coy about shipping prices. Add inflation to the list above? The 100wh/kg is appealing to the dreamer in me but the left brain is screaming 'are you insane'? You did well Sutho, a braver man than I me thinks.

Those are the same prices I was quoted and paid several months ago. With shipping a 28s3p to North Central FL was around $1400.

Has anyone determined the type/spec of temp sensors buried in these packs and attached to the main terminals?

Type/part no? Specs? Anyone tried to measure/talk to one?

I assume they are a simple thermistor of some sort ptc/ntc?

I bought two of the 7s3p. both are satifactory so far. plan is to buy another two and run 92-100v 60ah hot off the charger.

Going fast is fun but what about the braking power with all that weight ?

...60ah on a bike  Thats minimum 40kg of battery?!
Going fast is fun but what about the braking power with all that weight ?

Think about it, 40kg, is only the difference between a 60kg rider and a 100kg rider...an everyday situation with no concerns over bike components.
110 -120kg riders are not uncommon, and some touring bikes carry a LOT of weight.
..however if silverrich1 is already a 120kg rider,...then there may be cause for concern !

I weigh 73kg
batteries = 22kg
motor = 15kg

110kg payload on bicycle designed for 120kg from raleigh's website. damnit.

something is not quite right there silverrich ?
how do you figure it to be 22kg for the battery ?
.. plan is to buy another two and run 92-100v 60ah
That implies a 28s,3p pack..yes ?
IE 84 cells, each of which is listed as weighing 480 gms
So your bare cell weight would be 40.32 kg
with casings and connections more likely 45 kg.

silverrich is insane dont you get it !? dont you get it !

I'm running 50volts 60ah.

Controller's 48v 300A.

so I won't need that many of these modules...indeed etc... (two) if I'm running high amps.... now this is much much much better. :D
stop adding kilograms to my heavy bike. (48kg total weight weighed tonight). NO I'M NOT CRAZY.

THIS MEANS MY TWO MODULES DO NOT NEED HIGH VOLTAGE, RATHER, MUHA AHA AHA! I CAN NOW TRAVEL AT A HIGH VELOCITY AD NOMINEM! TO WORK AND BACK 60mph club HEAR HEAR! *BRUSHES THE REST OF YOU ASIDE*
