Great points indeed. I am sure Stealth has something up their sleeve to address the duro Razorback supply issue. Yah, the Halo Contras and Wildlife Leopard are the same tread pattern, the wildlife has a softer compound than the Razorbacks, I compared them side by side. Also, the Wildlife Leopard did wear a little faster on the front, but not much. I can get 1500 miles out of Razorback on the front, got about 1150 with the wildlife leopard. I guess I am luck as I bought 10 Razorbacks for 250 bucks two years back. I am down to 2 left. Going to need to find something else, or go back to a motor tire and rim combo on the front.

Rix, are you still running a 24" front? What do you use for the front with the shinko 241 rear?

I am still running the Razorbacks 24x3.00 on the front. After I go through these tires, I may either go with the Felt Bermaster 24x3 cruiser knobby or go with a 19MC on the front. As is, I am set up to switch back and for between the 19 and 24mtb on the front.

so I'm up to 1750 miles on the bomber and its going strong.. I bought it with around 500 miles on it bone stock. Since then Ive been modding and modding with more to come. It's damn addictive..
Heres the list so far…

Suspension:
-888 CR Marzocchi Forks, HD springs
-Revalve DNM Shock (3 phase revalve, More nitrogen added)
-Respring DNM shock with custom Cannon Racecraft 500lbs spring

Protection:
-Topeak Defender XC2 front fender
-Lizard Skins covering the rear shock
-Lizard Skins covering the electrical connections for the hub motor

Brakes:
-Magura Performance 7.1 pads
-Rebleed procedure for better lever travel
-2mm spacer for rear caliper

Wheels / Tires:
-Front Duro Razorbacks , Moto tube, Mr Tuffy strips at 15psi
-Rear 19" Holmes hobbies wheel w 11/12 127mm spokes, 19"rim strip, VRM021 tire, standard moto tube at 15psi

Electrical:
-All exposed connectors coated w dielectric grease
-NIght Rider Lumina 750 X2 one for the bars and one for the helmet

Body/Other:
-Serfas RX Saddle
-ODI Grip locks
-Oury grips
-Incredibell brass bell

Drivetrain:
-Regrease Vboxx with superlube
-White Industries sproket


and finally a shit ton of riding.. Pretty badd ass unit.

How do you like the rear shock? Will you change it again?

When I first bought the bike it had the stock DNM shock with a 700lb spring, single phase valving and a lower level of nitrogen in it. The rear was so jarring and wanted to throw me all over the bars. Unfortunately DNM does not make alt weight springs. Since the valving and the respiring the shock works great. The guts of the shock are pretty damn well made so a revalve actually it work. Due to the body length of the shock and the width of the mounts, finding alt shocks kinda a pain in the ass. Fighters may be easier to find a bicycle shock for.
so to answer your question yup I'm not planning on changing it anytime soon its pretty damn good now.

I have finally rebuilt the Bomber and had the first trip the day after Ester.
My first impression of this beautiful e-bike is AWESOME
It was a 48.5Km trip in the natural park that I have around where I live.
I had to tweak the suspensions and the power profiles of the Adaptto controller so I didn't had a sport cam to record a video but I took some pictures along the trip.
This was the bike before the trip:

Here I was at an abandoned tavern where I was using to go many years ago. It was called Elia and It's at the boundaries of the area:

Then I went on the beach on hard packed sand section of the west cost:

Then back trough the woods trails:
Here I found a baby boar that did not heard me arrive until I was about 20 meters away. Then I chased it for about twenty meters. It was the first time that I happened to catch a wild animal and I think this is due to the stealthiness of the Bomber 8)

This is the GPS tracking of the trips, the yellow line was in the morning and the light blue was in the evening:

And this is the Stats/WattMeter data. I travelled 48.5Km most of the time off road and pedal assisted and used 856Wh. I had 1384Wh left and with the consumption I had I could had traveled another 78 Km. Pretty good I think!

Thanks to TV and Rix for the compliments.
I made a small change to the chain to eliminate the clink of the chain on the swingarm. Before you ask the chain is set as the manual says, max 10mm of play but slams on the swingarm while riding on rough terrain.
I attached a strip of neoprene adhesive that is used to seal the windows. Tried this morning it works.

Simone. That aluminium chainguard on the swingarm is actually a Quigley accessory that I bought. And yes, with it, the chain slam is quite loud. The stock bikes comes with neoprene adhesive on both sides of the swing(upper and lower part of it) I removed old and dirty ones when I cleaned up the bike before shipment. So it is good that you added one now! Just apply a second one underneath.

Great on paved roads and packed dirt, but not much use in sand/mud/offroad. That's my opinion.

I used to have holy rollers.. Beautiful tyres if your use is 90% street/10% off road. But as allex said, they have their shortfalls. Like basically every tyre!

I think they might have bent during my last accident? Can I bend them back?? Or will they snap if I try? As you can probably see from the photo's they "rarely" scrape against the swing arm but I never feel it.

Those are bent yeah. You can take them off and bend them back using a press. Don't bend them while they are attached to the bike, you can damage the bearings inside the vboxx. The do bend easily, even if you lay the bike down carefully they can bend, the bike is very heavy so...

This is a post from a little bit ago. I made some simple tools for bending back crank arms etc..May be helpful for you They have measurements stamped into them

Made a couple of tools.. Pretty basic but useful thought I would share.

Since the v boxx cranks like to bend I made a board that has measurements on it at specific distances so when I bend the cranks back that would be in spec.

Bomber board with measurements.

I clamp a piece of square tubing and back the crank up against it, and now I can use it to measure how bent my cranks are and where they are bent.

finally I get a ruler or tape measure and line it up to the marks.

I put the cranks in a padded vice, wrap them in cloth and bend em back in shape.

This is version one of the board but its been real helpful. Hope it helps....

I think it would be useful to see what's going on behind me when riding the Bomber on road and retract the mirror while riding off road.

Yes they are bent. It should be a gap close to 1 cm on both sides.
