I ran a PAS on my Fighter for ages through a CA3 interface. Worked really well but I am back to plain old throttle again now. No reason not to run it, just haven't got around to reinstating it since rebuilding the bike after tidying up the paintwork.

Thank you for sharing!

Is it plug and play or you had to do any kind of adaptation on the schlumpf?

It's never plug and when it comes to this modification on a high powered bike.

Fitting the PAS ring and sensor is straightforward and you will be able to this no problems with the Schlumpf drive.

You controler has PAS built into it. You could easily tap into this if you can flow a wiring diagram (sorry, not meaning sound condescending there  ) . However the controller PAS will give you full power every time it is activated. Fine for 250W setup but not so good for 3500W setup.

I got around this by using the PAS function within the CA3. This again is not a straight forward modification and if you are not familiar with the advanced features of the CA3, I suggest you get involved the CA3 thread and of course read though the user manual.

Presuming you have a CA3 on your Stealth, you will need to change some wiring including the addition the PAS wiring. Stealths with a CA3 have the throttle connected in Legacy mode so basically they work the same way the CA2. To make PAS work, you need to convert to Pass through mode. This means the CA3 accepts a throttle input, does what it need to do with it, and then sends it out to the controller.

Also you will need a special PAS sensor fo the CA3. These are available here http://www.ebikes.ca/shop/ebike-parts/torque-sensors/pas-12p.html

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for your answer helped very much!!

Stealth_rider got his new plug and play battery.

He mentions that voltage sag is about 1-1,5V compared to 2-3V for his original Stealth pack.
The cells are Samsung 30Q 21s7p 21Ah. Weight is about 7Kg.

Allex do you think I could fit in my Bomber a 21s13p battery made with Samsung 30Q cells? It would be 7 cells less than the current battery I have.

Nope, you can use your stock one.

Just want to clarify that the older Bombers like mine came with a charger set up for a 24S Lifepo4 battery and not a Li Ion battery. The HVC on the older chargers is set around 87 volts. This charger would work fine for a 21S pack but will fall short of charging to max capacity by about a volt which is 88.2 volts for 21S. Actually now that I think about it, charging a 21S pack like the one Allex built for Stealth Rider to 87 volts would be easier on the pack and would last longer provided discharge capacity was kept at 85% or less.

Domino throttle ordered from Austria seems were a bit behind here in uk with ebike tech, can anyone help a muppet with a easy to follow instruction or wiring diagram on fitting the domino throttle i have searched and took in loads of info just trying to make things easy for one that doesn't quite understand !!????
This may help... Oh make sure your back wheel is not touching the ground when you test. If the polarity is backwards your bike might try to escape through the closed garage door. You can guess how I know this

I guess it works with out the 2 pots between white and black wires and blue and red wires. At least I would try to connect the trhottle wires directly and if it needs some adjustments than I would do it later

Thanks guys mucho appreciated with the throttle wiring help !!! just waiting for the post now, will have to get some pics up of my Bomber it looks the dogs in black with the upside down MRP forks !!!!!

Athaneco, I see you are using Saint Brakes. Are you using a Magura inline pressure switch or reed/hall sensor switches as motor cut offs?

No, i still have the stock regen button switch, which i use more often than the brake. I rarely use the rear brake unless i need to. since regen brake is very different from brakepad brake i prefer to have them separate.

Hey Stealth Guys,

I am trying to find photos of a bike (I think it was Bomber, but MAYBE a fighter) that had footpegs that were welded to a plate. That plate then attached to the side cover bolt holes. This allowed the owner's kid to have footpegs near the front of the frame when sitting on it between the adult and the bars. I remember seeing it for sale on eBay about a year ago but I can't find any trace of it on Stealth forums or eBay. Anyone remember this bike?

I am trying to copy the idea for my raptor and would like to see photos of it again to get some ideas. I just can't find it!

Cheers,

Mammalian

Please find that pic and mod and post it here. I have never seen or heard of that.

This is not the photo you've seen before but here is what I've done, all I've done is fabricated some small right angle brackets and bolted them through the side cover bolts

Aha! Exactly. Could you post up one of the bracket? Thanks!

My new kickstand, chopped weld and powder coated
Nice work , what was the base stand you started with ?

It was the universal clamp on kick stand for dirt bikes. I ve seen this being sold as low as 30 eur up to as high as 150 eur. It took about 90 minutes for a professional welder to modify it

Went for a semi epic ride on the Fighter today...and rode an entire freakin mountain range! :!: :D
https://goo.gl/maps/s7RRzLEhFPT2 This is the mountain range part of the route...I also rode home from the range afterwards which was another 20km.

The challenging part was making my saggy old stock battery + plus the reserve I have in a backpack make the distance. In the end I underestimated the capacity of my original stock pack and managed to squeeze 17+ AH from it. I think that was only possible due to the very warm weather and low amps draw throughout the ride.

Cheers

Those pics are amazing you should see the weather here today 5 deg and cold rain and wind all day !!!!!!!

Very nice CD. If I won the lottery, would be very hard pressed to not move to Canberra. If you got more pics, you should post them.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. :)

I wasn't going to bother, since it's just handlebar footage, but threw together this quick edit this afternoon of the highlights. :)
It's more about the scenery, and ability the bike gives to explore, than about the Fighter itself.

Hope you like it. :)
