We are both running the 24x2 duros on the front.

Oh the 2.00 or 3.00 stock tire on the front?

That was a typo, 24x3 duro razorbacks.
Thx Rix...I want the same setup with 19s. Was reading the old posts in September 2013 and in February 2014. Can you post a side profile shot of a current setup when you get a chance. Thx.

So...Some updates on the trip.
The bike arrived safely to the destination, Moscow Russia.
DSC03206.JPG

Met up with some EV-masterminds and their bikes. Crazy configs with more than 10kW of power with headlights at 5000lumen...crazy bright and awsome throw. They charge bikes super fast at 3000Watts with small PSUs

My new batteries are already waiting to be welded and fitted in to the frame, 280psc 18650 cells

LG DBHE 2 cells, this will be a 20s14p pack

Nice spot welding, this is one half of the pack:

Stock bomber battery:
80v, 18Ah, 1500Wh, 11.5Kg
This battery:
84v, 35Ah, 3000Wh, 12.5Kg
So double the range at almost same weight and better punch.
Yeah Theo, your butt will be sore before you will need to recharge :)

Here you go Proper, the Bomber is running the 19x1.4 Prowheel racing rim with the Shinko SR241 2.75x19, the fighter is running an 18x1.4 rim and a IRC TR1 2.75x19. 24MTBs on the front of both.

Damn Allex, you keep upping the bar ski high. Holly$h!t that's a lot of battery!!!! A while back you sent me a PM pic of your new plug and for charging your bike. What was that plug called? It wasn't an XLR plug.

I would kill for 35 ah of battery Allex. I want to hear all about it man. If I had 35 ah I could blast both directions on a ride. Even though I don't like having to hold back on my speed one direction on a ride, blasting home is so sensational, and amazing, I'm like a dog with his head out the car window the whole way.

Cool video!

Tom

If you are refering to mine, thank you. Go another coming out this week, better editing, still no music, but its a hill climber. 1100 feet in about 1.5 miles with some really steep stretches.

would kill for 35 ah of battery Allex Yah, the energy density is off the hook with Allex's battery. Hey Allex, whats going on? You come out of no where with a white Bomber, than the Addapto MaxE controller mod which was really cool by the way, and now a "super battery". Your Bomber is the trickest and best one anywhere on ES :p .

Thanks Rix for the photos...in this one page I want that rear wheel and Allex's 35 AH battery setup...what the hell guys, making me go into dream land.

Allex Where did you get that battery cells??
I really like them :)

I'm pretty new to the whole sourcing your own battery deal. Found this youtube video on breaking down laptop batteries and they look similar to what Allex has.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m90ibjcvR68

How would I even go about doing what Allex has? I would absolutely take 35ah in a heart beat!

Well, lets just say its my current hobby. So I am putting a lot of effort to this bike just for fun.
Morati: No I do not build them but I have a guy with the right tools. If you Guys are interested he is ready to build packs for your rides. But it will not be cheap. I think that stock Bomber battery costs 2500USD this one will set you back at 3000USD ready and plug and play.
18650 packs are very popular today due to less fire risk compared to lipo and better energy density than lifepo4\lipo.

You really need to read more over at Battery section of this forum, thread like this will get you far:
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57291

I do not want to wait whole day to charge one 35A pack so I will need a better charger and also a better charge plug that can take higher current.
The Speakon connector is far better than the stock XLR. It can handle more current and the best thing that you dont have to pull it. you just twist, so no more broken connectors or bad contact. So here is the Connector Rick:

Thanks Allex, I will get one of these, much better and cleaner looking than my Xt150 Charger port. It slides in and out so it doesn't stick out that far when riding.

Here is a short vid of the Fighter and Bomber climbing some serious hill. Climbed 1100 feet in about 1.5 miles. Towards the beginning of the video, after the jump, you will see me following my dad around a really steep switch back, I actually was pedaling, which combined with throttle, spun out. Towards the end of the climb, you guys will see me hammer past my dad, off to his left, in the bushes, where there is not trail/path. listen to the motor work its ass off. Total testament to how tough the new Fighter is when a 250# gorilla is riding on this steep stuff, and believe me, its much steeper than the Go Pro makes it look. Once again sorry for the shitting editing. Still learning go pro studio, and Hyena is helping sort some things as well, so they will get better.

Rick

Wow that's a serious climb there Rix!

Allex I'm loving that battery. Great work! How many mah are the individual cells?

I haven't posted for ages but I'm still riding my Bomber almost everyday and loving it! Outside of a couple pinch flats it has been super reliable. :D

Sent in my VBoxx three and a half weeks ago for repair and today DHL attempted delivery of my repaired unit. I was at work so hopefully tomorrow I'll get it back into my Bomber. Not bad at all. Thank you Stealth! Weather has been great here and I am looking forward to getting out on my Bomber again. Can only drink so much beer....lol.
Rix, awesome vid! Don't worry too much about editing.

A small clarification. This is NOT 3000wh battery. 2400max. Middle point is 73..74v. NOT 84v. And real capacity of element is 2.5ah, with 14p it give 35ah in ideal variant. More realistic data - 2.4ah and 33.6ah.

Than you should also compare with ACTUAL stock battery data: 24s at 3.2v life would be more likely 76.8volts and probably close to 16-17 max actual AH if your battery is new and has no defect cells.
So only 1300wh in real world on stock battery...
New one still gives you almost twice capacity at almost the same weight.....
Not mentioning lower voltage sag: stock battery was ~75-80mOhm iR according to MAX-E statistics, new one has 37-40, so almost twice less voltage sag helps to keep average voltage higher at moderate loads.
Allex now should get new lighter and more efficient motor instead of stock 12.5kg monster that overheats in no time at 120a battery current to make its Bomber perfect bike :D
