Speaking of the look of the bike I don't know if any of you mongrels out there have had the issue of the carbon sticker cracking but I surely do and its real F'ing annoying. So I went to take it off. How the side panel is made I don't get at all. The carbon sticker is sandwiched between the aluminum panel and the steel surround. The sticker is the entire size of the inside of the aluminum panel. The part of the aluminum that is underneath the steel is covered by the sticker. The sticker underneath is covered w silicone and attached to the steel..F'ing weird....

The reason the CF sticker and aluminum panel are attached with silcone is aluminum can't be welded to steel. Personaly I will buck rivet the aluminum to the covers the next time I pull them off instead of re-silicone them. I was even toying around with getting some 3-4mm thick CF sheets and buck riveting that on to the frame penals with countersunk rivets. Just a couple of ideas I had about it.

I hear that. I was thinking about making the panels all Aluminum. Maybe they were worried about corrosion if they were directly epoxied together. IMO they should have made a separate piece, industrial 2 sided foam tape etc...instead of using the sticker.

I don't know how much the colour coded wheels cost for you in USA but it was quoted as $600 here in Australia.
I said sod that, I'd rather get the moto wheels with moto tyres in any colour i choose delivered to my door (tyres and tubes included) for around $700.

It rained all holidays so only taking my bike out for it's second real ride tomorrow... hope to hell it stays sunny but not too sunny.

Thanks for the heads up stritzky, will have to google somewhere that sells the helmet now!

what about the 3m heavy duty double sided foam stuff it rocks

Guys, the side panels are all aluminum. At first i thought that only the inserts with stickers was made of it but after trying to put a magnet on the covers I understood.
See my old post regarding the carbon stickers and how to get it done proper.

Hi,
does anybody use a CA V3 with the bomber?

Gromith I have seen the V3 on the Bombers and Fighters, but the ones I have seen were mods by the owner, I am not sure, but I think they only came with the smaller V2 and called it the V2.25 as there were some program display mods done before switching over the DC1. Don't quote me on this as I am not 100% certain.

At Steve. Yah the B52 Bomber is the new identifier. If Stealth started identifying Bombers this way initially they would have been called the B45 Bomber and the Fighter called the F30 Fighter. Either way, that's a beautiful machine, I think you should pull the trigger and get it.

I got my fighter with ca v3 , but now they only deliver with the dc1 I think.

Here is a suggestion for rear fender on fighter. there is no fender kit for the bike and, it's hard to find anything that fits.
I made a "frame" with a bolt, a few nuts and a piece of alu. I then used rowdy fenders on top of the frame..

Hi,
my CA brokes... Now I have bought a new one from ebikes.ca and need some settings.

Did any one of you use the software from ebikes.ca to program the CA? My antivirus program detects a virus

fsmuggen, I really like your rear fender idea, and I think a lot of people will be interested in seeing it. The problem is it's going to be lost forever in a few weeks in this massive thread. Might I suggest that you post a write up about it on the new factory forum so Fighter owners in the future will be more easily able to find out about it.

I don't know alot about the program software for the CAs, but I can tell you this for certain, there is no way that Justin sent you a CA with a virus, no way. Justin is one the most straight up guys I have spoken with. I would contact him at ebikes.ca and ask him directly. He will get to the bottom of this for you.

Yah, if we can get more folks to post this kind of stuff along with service and repair info on the Stealth Forum, then it will always be there and easily found. Hey Gromith, when you get to the bottom of your CA issue, I would like you to post your findings on the Stealth Forum. Got to set up user name, like here on ES, its easy.

I've found the new Stealth forums to run terribly on my mobile sadly.
I cannot scroll on some (50%? of) pages for some random reason - frustrated the hell out of me.

I'll check it out again soon and see if it is still the case - will make a post about it there if it is.

I just tried it on my Galaxy 5 phone, and I couldn't get it to work for me either.

I was wondering if anyone paid vat on there new stealth bomber as I am being charged vat and I live in the UK :?:

Love it Allex. That rivals my avatar pic. :)
How did you find the 18650 pack did in the cold?
When I went to the snow last year with my Fighter, I majorly underestimated my needed capacity, however I was still able to squeeze 21AH from my LiPo pack (the most I've ever used). Doing so did brought the cells down to ~3.3V though. The cold did not seem to effect my capacity at all on that ride. :)

My stock Stealth LiFeP04 pack however looses 20-40% capacity when the temperature drops below ~10C.

Cheers

The bomber looks good with white rims (even snow ones!) - Nice photo allex - wish I was at the snow - the humidity is killing me today.

hey stealth user. I just want to know what are the differences between the new bomber and the old bomber. MK1 vs MK2 vs B52.....

The differences between the MK1 and MK2 is the MK2 has the newer and slightly smaller battery compartment in the frame. The MK1 was designed for Lifepo4 Headway cells if I recall correctly and the MK2 was modded for pouch cells allowing for a smaller battery with the same capacity. With the exception of the very first series of MK1s, early 2008 and older if I remember correctly. Initially power was rated at 3kw, I don't remember when Stealth increased the output to 4.5kw, but imagine it was about the time that Stealth transitioned from the 53XX to the 54xx hubmotor. The majority production of the MK1, and the entire model life span of Mk2 stayed at 4.5kw (4500wh) output for the duration of the series. Early last year, Stealth increased the KW out put to 5.2KW, and introduced the DC1 compute and other software and programing upgrades hence the name, B52. The same with the Fighter, output increased from 3kw to 3.7kw hence the name, F37. The DC1 is like a really advanced CA and much more precise at reading DC input and monitoring data then the CA it replaced. As battery, motor, and controller technology improves, and if Stealth stays with their current model identifiers, I imagine in the future, we will see a B75 Bomber to and F50 Fighter reflecting 7500wh and 5000wh output respectively. I am just speculating here, I don't know anything for certain about future models.

You know CD, I am starting to rethink my impression of cold weather performance as relates to batteries with lithium in the chemistry. My Bomber, I mean dad's Bomber. is still running the original Pouch Lifepo4 battery in the Bomber. CA is turned down to 50amps and here is what he's getting. During the summer, if he takes it easy and keeps speeds less than 20mph and rides on pavement, he can expect 55 miles and 1362wh consumed. Winter, he can nurse almost 1000wh when riding below freezing temps. Of course if he turns his amps up to 70 and twists the throttle wide open, he will BMS shutdown instantly summer or winter with that much wh consumed. That being said, my custom 14s LiIon pack isn't effected very much at all. There is more volt sag sooner in cold weather, but I aint loosing no 30%, maybe 10%. On the geared hubby home built running 12s 24ah zippy lipos, whether riding in hot weather or below freezing weather, we are getting 1000wh usable and not hitting the LVC which is set at 42 volts. So my experience, like yours suggests that Lipos aren't nearly effected by the cold as lifepo4 and LiIon is closer to Lipo in terms of cold weather performance than lifepo4.

So you mean the chemistry of lipo is better than lifepo4 wheb it comes to cold weather. So the difference of mk1 and mk2 is the pouch cell lifepo4 over the cylindrical headway cells. Now I know what model do I have. Yeah I had a problem with the lifepo4 bms it shuts of quickly I am only getting 5km range, but now I disconnect my bms when riding my bike and I get 50kms. I only connect my bms during charging. And I also purchase a lipo 21s 3p hobbyking just need to hook up bms on it.

Sounds like you have a few bad packs. Why not mail stealth and buy a few from them to make the battery good again?

Ducky. I was out right after the charge so my pack stayed warm during the whole trip. I did not note any diff at that point.
