E-scooter controller wiring

I bought a GQ8 e-scooter then started having trouble with what I thought was the throttle I took it to a recommended mechanic but instead of finding the problem and fixing it he took it apart and used my battery and other parts on his own bike so after I took it I’m having to put it back together and the wiring guide on my controller can’t be found anywhere it’s a Sine wave vector synchronous Controller specs..

What were the specific symptoms you were seeing? What happened just before the problem began? What suggests it to be a throttle issue?


I took it to a recommended mechanic but instead of finding the problem and fixing it he took it apart and used my battery and other parts on his own bike
I'd recommend posting who that was so others can avoid them, since that would usually be considered theft to take customer parts for their own use. :(

What we will need in order to help you is for you to trace out what wires you have on each device on your scooter, and have you make yourself a diagram of all of those, and post it here.

The easiest way is using paper and pens, markers, or even crayons to get different colors for different wires (if you can see the actual wires and don't have sealed connectors), then take pictures of the drawing and post them here in your thread as an image.

I'd draw it up as blocks for each thing, like a controller block with all it's wires going out to each of it's connectors, indicating how many pins or wires are on each of these connectors, and a display block with all it's wires to each of it's connecotrs, etc., for every individually separate thing on the scooter that has a wire going to it.

Then post actual images of the individual connectors on each device, with a notation for what each one is from.

Then we can help you figure out which connector plugs into which other connector, and for those that we aren't sure of, have you make some electrical measurements with a multimeter to see what they come from, go to, etc.
 
Ok thanks so much I will get that mapped out and post the images I really appreciate any help I’ve never even built one before much less hook it up I have some electrical wiring experience from just wiring in new radio and speakers in my vehicles before and also house wiring but nothing like this
 
Ok the reason I found the problem and wasn’t the throttle because I found a wire detached on the back of the key lock but there may be a different problem it just wouldn’t do anything when I twisted the throttle but until I get the controller wired back up I can’t diagnose anything yet I have taken pics of the controller wires so far
 
Was there ever a resolution to this? I've got the same controller and can't figure where the signals/horn/light switch go.
 
Those don't usually connect to the controller. They usually connect to your handlebar switches intended for that purpose, which are usually a separate control unit.

Most often those things are powered from a separate power source than your motor controller, at a lower voltage, either with a separate battery or a DC-DC from the main battery. Sometimes they use battery-voltage-powered lights/etc. You'd need to know what yours are and what they require to wire them up.


If you're replacing a controller on a system that all this stuff was handled directly by the controller before, then you would need to use the same model and brand of controller with the same wiring to be able to reconnect them the same way. Most controllers don't have these functions, so replacing with a different controller than original probably changes a lot of how the system now works, in addition to removing functions the original had built in.
