Ebike security

Yes please details. On my heavy bike all I need is the phase wire short mechanism.

A touch sensitive audio playback of "Go ahead asshole, steal me. My seat ejector is set to dump you off in front of the first oncoming vehicle it senses, and the video unit will make it an instant YouTube classic. I actually want you to steal me just to get the video clip." Then maybe start a 10 second audio countdown. Of course then I'd have to have onboard video recorders and a cell phone dialing alert unit, just to be able to see the reactions of people who touch the bike, even accidentally. Shoot let's go whole hog here and get into Candid Camera salable stuff, and give the audio unit a mic along with the speaker to remotely listen and talk to people live. Man, the fun I could have with that down here, since there's almost always a few people checking out my bikes when I park, because they're typically too shy to ask me questions directly.

I can't believe no one here is making and selling this kind of stuff. While the market may not be huge here at ES, there's enough people with $ to pick up some nice pocket change with gadgetry that would be a hell of a lot of fun. I know there's plenty of expertise around here to easily pull off this kind of stuff. Plus as e-bike popularity takes off across the developed world, ebike gadgets will enjoy a big market.

Now that I imagine the potential, any e-gurus interested should contact me directly if they want someone to handle the marketing.

I put RFID tag inside simple car remote door opening transmitter. Now I have remote On/off and when transmitter is more than 1,5m from bike; the power is off and all three motor fazes connects together so the wheel is virtually blocked. But the best feature is range of some 50m so you can lend someone the bike and shut it off when he leaves.
Yes very very cool.

Let's say you have the GPS tracker and someone steals your ride and you know where it is. How would get it back?

Would you call the police? Would the police be able to break into the place in a timely manner before your ride gets shipped across the states?

Or should it be done in a potentially bloody vigilante style? Or should the work be "outsourced" to "the professionals"? (Whoever those would be.)

I'm seriously thinking about putting a GPS unit in my velomobile trike as it can't really be easily locked up, but yet it would only weigh 200 lbs or less so you'd only need two guys to lift it into a truck...
