Ebikes.ca Simulator - different motors

There are a lot of different motors, what reason would anyone have to list them all then maintain such a list? Perhaps you could do it to help yourself and others in the future? Other than that you could always ask about any specific motor you may be interested in- if anyone knows then most would help.

probably no reason, other than the great community spirit that is on the forum! I don't know enough to create a list, I have very little knowledge....

yes, thanks, I will ask if there is anything specific I want to know about

the ebikes.ca simulator http://www.ebikes.ca/tools/simulator.html is very interesting - but is there a guide somewhere as to what popular motors are equivalent or similar to those listed?

For example, I saw somewhere that apparently a 10t Mac is similar to a BMC V2 - but is there an overall list/ guide?

You are not the only one who has wondered this. I am trying to decide one my first build and am more than baffled by all of the options.

I am leaning towards a 12T Mac as there is some very steep long hills on my commute. But I would prefer the speed of the 10T. I have been comparing the ezee v2 with the bmc torque but it seems like the ezee v2 does better on the hills.

To throw a monkey wrench in the whole situation I like some things about the bbs02 crank drive as well. I think it may do better on the hills but the install will not be as easy and I'm not sure if it will fit as well on my bikes. The tough questions in life.

I have definitely spent hours playing with that simulator but now I think it's time for some real world guess and test.
