Ebilke motor with scooter controller 36v

Is it a geared motor with a freewheel? Scooter controllers often power the motor not from standstill, but need an initial kick to start. With the freewheel, you can't kick the motor in the forward direction.
Well the bike got 7 gears. Do you also say gears to how many levels you can chose on the ebike control display? However there is upp to 3 level of speed there.
What can i do to get it to run forward from a escooter controller?

Geared hub motor.

Was the bike/motor running before?

Please post a pic of all of the connectors coming out of the controller. Make sure the wires for each connector are in the pic.
So what does it mean that its geared?

Well im not sure, i havent used it... Ok do mean on the scooter controller in the poc that im trying to connect it woth or the original bike controller?

An E-Bike hub motor often has an internal planetary gear with a freewheel. So there is no drag of the gears and the motor, if you are coasting. The motor is not turning, if you push your bike by hand. The freewheel engages only, if you are pushing backwards, or the motor is running forward.

Scooters are using so called direct drives, that have no gear and no freewheel. So they can run in both directions and can break by regeneration (short: regen).
