It looks like Ecotric uses two versions of the display, the 4 wire analog, and possibly the 5 wire digital. This is based on looking at documentation on their website and the videos they link to on YouTube. The first video shows their 4 wire unit, and the second video is a link from their website on how to troubleshoot the 810 display. At a later point in the video, they test the display connector for battery level voltage, and you can see clearly that there are 5 conductors on that unit.

Now I see what those bozos did to you, They used a 5 pin JST connector on the controller, but only put 4 wires into it, The 5th position is empty, It's their fault,

You're going to need a 4 pin 810LED, and when you get it, you'll have to splice the wires into a 5 pin connector so it fits the controller. Or maybe Ecotric will seel you a 4 pin unit woth the 5 pin connector,

It's easy to buy pre-crimped and wired JST-SM pigtails in all the pin counts, and then splice into whatever you're working with.

Me, I'd ditch the display and use a no nonsense controller.

You are spot on! I have the same issue on my Ecotric bike and they use some kind of wacky proprietary 810 unit with 5 pins and 4 wires. I've contacted them several times and they've provided me no help at all... Which is really frustrating.

First you get the right voltage 810LED. Then you make sure it's the analog or digital version.. Finally, you get the pins matching.

It didn't used to be so hard. There were only the four pin analog models for sale. What happened to your old 810LED? DId it get full of water?
