Ego mini bike

No specific experience with this for reliability except I have several other Ego tools, including a chain saw, weed whacker, leaf blower and snow blower. All have served very well and without issues. I also have several batteries, but only 5Ah. I use those on my Photon bike as range extenders and I believe they would work on this minibike, just not as much range.

Sure, not much range compared to our DIY bikes, but would be fun for tooling around a farm.

I read through the specs but didn’t see enough info to determine how you determined reliability. Is there other info?
$2000 for ”up to” 20 miles of range means you can’t go far, but probably fun if you have a big yard.

I believe you'd have pretty respectable range or play time with 15Ah of 52V battery and a hub motor. Probably enough that I'd start feeling cramped and want to get off it before it ran out! Now, kids might fit better.

Big yard, farm, or for camping at the track all seem like the perfect places to ride around and have fun, within a limited radius. 👍

YouTube range test showed 15 miles and change, but not riding like you would while having fun. Looked like a test on flat ground.

Yeah, and how big was the rider? A little kid would get a lot more range or play time. And no telling how long the thing can run at max power without melting. But for a plaything it would probably work well.

My GF grew up with one of those Honda CT70 minibikes on their farm and they had lots of fun with it. I passed on doing a restoration... I don't have the time or space... so one of her cousins took it for the kids. Not sure if and when he'll get around to fixing it up.
