Hello everyone
I have read many discussions and build threads in the last week's and this will be my first post.
I have been in motorsports my whole life on both two and four wheels and am fairly new to the EV stuff, I personally own a EV car have a bunch of Oset electric trial bikes at home for the kids. We have a nice outdoor gokart track located just a few miles from my home and and would like to build an electric racing kart using a shifter (KZ) Chassis. I am not new to karting and have a little experience with shifter karts.
My plan is not to build a 60kw monster with huge battery, I am looking for 20-30 solid KW to just have fun at the track and maybe give some of the two smoke karts a run for their money
it's a fairly tight track, no long straights, with a 125 shifter maybe 110kmh tops.
I have contacted QS Motors, both the cnqsmotor.com contact and the qsmotor.com contact. Harry at qsmotor says they have already matched a controller with the QS180 and could send it out, joy at cnqsmotor says they still are working on matching a controller with the Motor. Are they both genuine QS Motors and just different distributors or should I stay away from one?
Is the QS180 worth the higher price or would the 138 90h do the job? I bet there is a lot more experience and data with the 138 Motor here, just looking for some advice.
Thanks in advance!
I would like to run it at 72v because of battery availability and weight.
