Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me if I have a 30v controller under load and replace it with a controller with the same connections but is 31.5v under load, will this work or would it kill something else on the scooter due to it being a bit higher in voltage please?

To be certain you get the correct info, which one are you asking about---battery, or controller?

It doesn't kill anything to use a controller capable of higher voltage. But controllers don't normally have ratings marked the way you describe.

It *can* kill things to use a *battery* with a higher voltage. If the original battery was 30V fully charged, and your new one is 31.5 *under load*, it could be much higher without a load, and that could be high enough to damage parts if they are not rated for it (you would have to check anything on the battery bus to find out what it's specs are). Anything powered from the battery, including lights, display, controller, etc., must be able to handle the fully charged voltage from it, and also any voltage spikes generated by the motor via the controller (which can be greater with a higher voltage battery).

Is this part of the same system from this thread?
If so, it would be better to merge this thread with that one, so that what little information you do provide us to help you with is all in one place, so that those that can guess with such limited information can still help you.
