hi all i have been thinking for a wile about building an electric trike to go to the shops on. i have come up with a design with one wheel at the front and two at the back delta stile but short wheel base, just a cruiser not a speed machine.
i have started with three 20 inch front forks some 50 mm box steel and an electric wheel kit. so far all is well have welded the frame together looking good so far. not quit shore what i am going to use for a seat will have to look in my shed to see what i have laying around.
i will try to up load a photo as soon as i can.
more soon

For the seat, try a one piece composite seat off of a stacking chair.

Sometimes available for free when the legs break.

drill holes for ventilation.

Look at what is being done here ....

"Yes, we are very proud to introduce a new design by the original designer of
the RAPTOR in 2010. This E-Trike breaks new grounds because it is the first
commercial Hybrid Electric Trike on the market anywhere in the world. In
keeping with our original design, we have moved it forward, incorporating
the best features of the original RAPTOR with a new twist on the styling and
the design format. More details will be forthcoming on our original website
www.boomerbents.com so look for them there very soon. Probably after the
New Year and we wish you all a very Happy New Year!

Let's make 2010 a banner year for the E-bike / E- trike market!

wow that raptor trike looks great
hi Kim yes i have a few ( two many my wife said ) on the drawing board the one i really want to do is the reverse trike. i Nealy have all the parts i need it will be full suspension for a smooth ride. i have found out that i can drive it on the road with no registration or a roadworthy and its street legal. i am only allowed to use a 200 watt motor but i will use a hub motor and bigger battery's ( amp hour ) so i should increase the range.
more on that in the new year.
