Most ebikers know ELEEK better as Vector, the Germany-based company that rebrands and marks up their frames. The difference between the two is the logo and a hefty price difference. I ordered one of their Lite frames direct. It took them a month to produce the frame and then shipping was two months by Economy Yak Freight. I could have paid twice the amazingly low price of the frame to ship it DHL. That would take a week or less.

I've gotten to know Roma and a couple of the other guys at ELEEK and I now consider them friends. I literally just got my frame out of Ukraine before that psycho criminal Putin attacked their country. It arrived in perfect condition. Extremely well packed in form cast styrofoam and cardboard. When you see the quality of their work you can't believe the price that you paid. It's half the price of decent Chinese copies of their work and competitive with the low end Chinese crap that isn't worth having. My plan before the Russians pee'd in the pool was to work with the High Voltage Group to do big co-op buys and make these awesome frames available in the US without the three month wait.

I first became aware of ELEEK when my in-the-know Eurobuddy Niels B. put my first prototype belt drive onto an ELEEK Lite Fat bike. There are two versions of the Lite, the regular one with 68mm BB and 130mm rear dropout, and the Fat with a 100mm BB and I believe a 170mm rear dropout. Niels has been running over 60 mph with one gear on 4.8" fatty tires. It looked like so much fun I bought a Lite for myself. Here are photos of Niels's bike:

Here is how my ELEEK Lite frame arrived:

I built an Eleek. It was featured on thier Facebook page once. Did 18kW and weighed 134 lbs with a 25Ah battery in it.

Still had mismatched panels that needed modification. Holes that did not line up. Cheapo key, not HV DC rated. .... poor paint. Came with the wrong headset for a Rockshox Boxxer, i dont know what the headset it came with was for.

......Nor was the swinger perfectly straight. Took an adjustment.

The kickstand was bada** tho. It did make a bada** bike eventually. Took 60mph easy, (save the forks were not quite up to par, being the 2020 WC RS Boxxer with its weird single spring and rebound/compression working on nikasil tubes. Fork was flexy. ) without trouble.

No consideration for a short person in its strut adaptability. You buy a long shock., it will be to high and the angle will be extreme: To high to put your feet down. You buy a short shock, it will bottom out. For a short person. Would like to see a progressive suspension of some kind build into these high end bikes.

Best Ebike kickstand evr. All said, made a good bike. Go Ukraine.

Those are really nice looking bikes. If I was to build a new ebike today I think that would be the frame I used. I'd make mine with the ability to pedal and with a medium sized hub motor with really good front forks too.

I agree that importing them by the container load would have been a good business proposition. :thumb:

Hopefully still will be. Europe is tragically accustomed to rebuilding after war.
ELEEK makes two different hub versions of the Lite, one small motor and one medium. I would import those as complete bikes. I’ll order bare frames for my mid drive builds.
You can also order direct from ELEEK.

Hopefully my friends at ELEEK are following this thread now. They may have a better option.

Thanks for caring. Ukraine needs the support of the free world to survive.

For reference / further info, there have been some posts about Eleek previously, including at least one build thread from an Eleek frame:

Book an airbnb and never show up, seems to be popular.

FYI:
Please do your due diligence in looking up the charity before donating, 501s have to disclose operating expense % etc.

lightning, thanks for donating.
