esk8 2015 - e-MTB 2015/16 - e-pintail 2016

OH YEAH!! I'm so happy for you Bro, finally it work great.

All of this because of a bad firmware :? , damnit..

Hi there !
some change happened, I take my Alien kit for a e-mtb build (winter project) with a new one I have oder to APS.
So this board is going to be ride with a 150A Hobbyking esc and 6374 SKY TURNIGY motor ... and for now just a 5S I have more
Some photo before to remove the APS kit :

I never go up to 35kmh because of me and my capacity but e-ride is soooooo cool, I think e-mtb going to be as good as e-sk8 !

Good ride every one !

Hi there its been a long time !

15min of ride on topspeed he told me  I never push the board that hard, he is a crazy rider and love the board so I'm pretty happy :D

I want an all-road board to ride everywhere : The Darth Vapor

Firt time I trie Mountainboard, the is strictly different than longboard, fixed foot is wired ... I have to learn !!!
and it's really really flexy, smooth, turn/carve good

thanks Whitepony :D !!!

Now will start the questions

I have somes problem with my APS motors ... (just 4/5 test ride with my board)
They get the wiring motor gnawed/eaten :| ... maybe some of you get an idea about how to prevent/avert the cut

But, more, I have one who start being drilled/used/milled(factory) ... sorry Google translate

I dont know why,... the other get nothing, no residue ... and now is cage move, translate along the axe ... really freaky :!:

a very friendly frensh rider "No Rules" lend me two engines for test !!! Very cool to him :p thanks to e-rider community !
he don't use them cause they got both the same problem as me ! One like my first photo, the other the open one, with a missing wire (cut with time) ... It seams to be a recurring problem :?

new build for summer !? :D yes I want ! and the last deck of Whitepony really motived me (congrat' once again for all your work man ;) )
Sorry for the poor vid ... I like it and I start film whit my phone ... just testing the "proto"

Its been more than 7 months I didn't ride a e-sk8 (in single drive), it was sold for the e-mtb build.
It really miss also, the "free-wheel" what a pleasure !! So quiet vs the Darth Vapor
and the alf of autonomy. Here 2 x 5.5km ride with really high clambing (sorry not sure about the transduction) = 2300Amh
.
Deck : Original Longboard 40"

it will be a 10s at final and actualy vesc is setup at 75A max for motor (85A in real) and 0.03 start up boost
do you make some other programmation on your vesc ?

thanks guys & good ride

hah! nice board, would be cool to see it with their s8 trucks instead of calibers, always wanted to try those!

your pavement looks like the pavement I got - mixed stuff with partially pretty bad patches! if you can, lend yourself some 90mm abecs by one of the french community - its a lot smoother to ride compared to kegels! its kegels all over the place, probably because they look cool - but from a riding comfort point of view, they arent even close to the 90mm abecs! 8)

also, like people told me and I didnt want to believe at first: for a single drive, 15mm belt drive is really a lot better and also safer. after the 9mm belt wears down a little, the slipping will start.

looking forward to your build :)

p.s.: didnt know that motor yet, looks really cool

Many thanks for your feedback Whitepony !!!
yeah the 200 mm original truck S8 could be fine on it but ... I have to look to the adaptator !
Should be really more fun on e-sk8 like you say, cause when you start puching at the beggeing (my firt deck for go work to Paris) its hard cause the wheels exceeds too and I often take my feet in early
Yes true, many thanks, I have a pack of 97mm ... but waiting for the adaptor from APS and so I would try 15mm :D but I have heard that there is no differences ... you reassure me !
This setup will be put in a smaller deck (31,5") for my GF.
I will make almost the same for me, on this pintal, with 10s, and 97mm so... I have 14T and 16T ... but 14Tx36T will works with 97mm wheels !? What do you think guys ??

The motor : DYMOND GTX-6374

good DIY & good ride

Pict will say more and better than me :)

Now witing for 24H ...

awh, awesome - seeing these pictures makes me wanna build another board!!

I like how you added these screw hole plateaus - its something I thought long about when I build my vanguard enclosures - visually I like it a lot more like you did it, but you probably cant tighten the screws very hard, so you would need some foam/rubber between enclosure and board to seal it?

also very nice how you 3D printed the boards name in the enclosure, cool ideal!! :)

what vacuum do you use with that foam? full pressure of slightly less than max to keep the foam alive?

hahaha, that is cause of you  ( a little bit cause of your vanguard) !
So hurry to try this !!!.. and next I will start making my deck (more downhill style) to test and see how rigide board feels. And could undle more speed maybe
And if its not for me, I will stay with this one but to much flex so this will finish by a full carbonification of the deck :) ...

You right, " tighten the screws very hard" will be hard but thinking like you say, and with something like this rubber mount for screws too
924.jpg

I have to admite I do exaclty the same than for my e-mtb ... full pression ... during 9h ...
I see what that could made to the finish ... but for this proto it will fine ... :D and its just a test.

For the next board, the one I have to make (downhill style), no more prototyping/test (saving money) so I will do it just like you, in a piece of wood ;) and with carbone fiber

here is the result guys !
just 1.5mm extrude 3D logo works pretty well !! you think more could be better ? (3mm ? too much maybe, it will be in carbone for the next time :p )

no plate for holes ... too much "ply" ... but it's a test ...

for the next it will be with carbone so it will be okay (here my UD fiber glass is too big, and the old t-shirt not "iron" don't help) and I have to pre-cut more correctly the "plus" of fiber to the mold size ...
(sorry for this english "translation")

hope you enjoy it !

thats a really nice timelapse video and a great idea with the cloth "fibers". its probably hard/impossible to sand, but it has a very interesting look & texture! also a great idea with the logo texture under the cloth! :D
