Hi Guys,
I have just bought an EV Falcon Triangle Bag and have an issue where my left pedal crank keeps hitting against the side of the bag when I pedal. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem but it is annoying riding along continuously kicking my lipo in the bag. I only have 4 off 6s 5ah batteries in the bag so it is not over full. In fact even with an empty bag I will occasionally hit the side of the bag when pedalling. What do I need to change to my pedal arrangement to overcome this problem? I obviously need to increase the distance between the pedal cranks but I am not sure what parts to get.

Either your bag is sliding to the side, or you have some really, really narrow cranks.
You can get wider bottom brackets to help prevent this.

If it is sliding to the side, you can also try to anchor it a bit better by putting a flat bar of something 'r other between your bike's bottom tube that most of the battery weight sits on. Otherwise, do you have the seat tube velcro straps and bottom tube velcro straps on tight enough? if they aren't tight enough, the tendency for things to slip around is pretty high.

The distance between my cranks is 136mm, Having said that the bag is not centrally positioned in between the 136mm.
I have tightened the seat tube and bottom tube velcro straps and there is little improvement but still not enough clearance between the crank and the bag.
How do I determine what is the correct bottom bracket for my trek 4900 bike?

You don't... it will be a matter of trial and error.. time to get familiar with a store that sells used parts ;)

Can you take pics, so i can get a better idea of what you're talking about?

Actually I just had a ride with all the velcro straps tightened and no hitting the bag with the crank. Still it is a close fit between the bag and the crank. Thanks for your help :D

Hi Guys,

I also plan on using this bag with x6 of these batteries inside -

Can anyone recommend what size/density and thickness foam i will require ?

Cheers
